    Abstract: The invention relates to systems, methods and devices that detect a bypass lane at a junction with at least one traffic light system and control automated longitudinal guidance functions of a motor vehicle based thereon. The driving data of a motor vehicle at the junction is utilized to determine a possible driving trajectory of vehicles at the junction and arrangement information reflecting an arrangement of the traffic light system relative to the possible driving trajectory. The bypass lane of the junction is detected based on the arrangement information, the automated longitudinal guidance functions of the motor vehicle are adjusted based on the bypass lane detection.

    Abstract: A method for creating map data having lane-specific resolution. Mapping data are initially received, the mapping data being transmitted by a vehicle, and including a vehicle trajectory and at least one object feature. Once the mapping data has been received, it is checked whether map data for local surroundings of the received mapping data are present. In the event the check indicates that no map data are present, map data are created from the mapping data and stored in a memory. In the event the check indicates that map data are already present, the map data are compared with the mapping data. If this comparison reveals that the mapping data differ from the map data, the map data are adapted, the adaptation taking place on the basis of a weighting factor. The adapted map data are subsequently stored in the memory.

    Abstract: An approach is provided for verifying reported ramp closures. The approach involves, for example, processing a ramp closure report to determine reported ramp link(s) associated with the ramp closure report. The approach also involves constructing a ramp network comprising the reported ramp link(s) and other ramp link(s) connected to the reported ramp link(s). The approach further involves collecting probe data collected from one or more sensors of one or more vehicles traveling within the ramp network. The approach further involves identifying one or more driving patterns based on one or more vehicle paths determined from the probe data. The approach further involves performing a verification of a closure status of the reported ramp link(s) based on the one or more driving patterns. The approach further involves providing the verification of the closure status as an output.
