    Abstract: Pump-through standing valves, wells including the pump-through standing valves, and methods of utilizing a pump-through standing valve to deploy a downhole device are disclosed herein. The pump-through standing valves include a valve body, a standing valve at least partially formed within the valve body, and a flow-through valve at least partially formed within the valve body. The standing valve includes a standing valve fluid conduit and a standing valve flow control device. The flow-through valve includes a flow-through valve fluid conduit and a flow-through valve flow control device. The wells include a wellbore, which extends within a subterranean formation, a wellbore tubular, which extends within the wellbore, and the pump-through standing valve, which is operatively attached to the wellbore tubular.

    Abstract: A valve system for an inner tube assembly is described. The inner tube assembly is arranged to be used in a drilling system to retrieve a core sample, and is arranged to be insertable into a drill string of the drilling system at a first end of the drill string. The valve system is arranged to be configurable in a first closed configuration, an open configuration, and a second closed configuration. The valve system moves to the first closed configuration when fluid is pumped along an interior region of the drill string towards the inner tube assembly in a direction from the first end of the drill string to the inner tube assembly. The valve system is arranged such that, when in the first closed configuration, a pressure of the fluid increases to facilitate deploying the inner tube assembly towards a second end of the drill string. The valve system moves to the open configuration in response to the inner tube assembly reaching a vicinity of the second end of the drill string and being prevented from moving further towards the second end of the drill string. The valve system is arranged such that, when in the open configuration, fluid can flow to a drill bit located at or near the second end of the drill string. The valve system moves to the second closed configuration when fluid is pumped along the interior region of the drill string towards the inner tube assembly in a direction from the second end of the drill string to the inner tube assembly. The valve system is arranged such that, when in the second closed configuration, the pressure of the fluid increases to facilitate retrieving the inner tube assembly from the vicinity of the second end of the drill string.

    Abstract: A fluid conveyed thruster for use in combination with a bottom hole assembly connected to a drill string during drilling operations. The fluid conveyed thruster comprises a continuous passage comprising a narrowed portion and an intersection. Fluid passing through the continuous passage of the fluid conveyed thruster accelerates as it passes through the narrowed portion and the intersection. The acceleration of fluid exiting the fluid conveyed thruster urges the tool forward and in turn urges the bottom hole assembly forward within a wellbore.     Abstract: A pump down tool includes a resilient cup on the tool exterior to minimize leakage of pumped fluid around the outside of the tool when the tool is pumped into a well. The resilient cup is concave toward an upper end of the tool so it expands upon application of pressure to pump the tool into the well. The resilient cup is capable of expanding to a diameter sealing against the inside of the casing string. A fluid bypass around the resilient cup allows a fraction of the pumped fluid to stir up any proppant lying in the path of the tool thereby allowing the tool to move through a horizontal well without having to plow through the proppant.
