摘要： A spunbonded elastic nonwoven fabric comprises a web of bonded thermoplastic filaments of a thermoplastic elastomer. The spunbonded fabrics of the invention are prepared in a slot draw spunbonding process operated at a rate of less than about 2000 meters per minute. The elastic fabric is used in absorbent products, such as disposable diapers, adult incontinence pads, sanitary napkins and the like, and as coverstock for absorbent personal care products.

摘要： The present invention is directed to a fiber composition comprising a fiber forming polymer and a phase change material integrally incorporated throughout the fiber forming polymer which is either a polyalkylene oxide, polyalkylene ether or mixture of various polyolefins. The phase change material has a melting temperature between about 15.degree. C. and about 65.degree. C. The fiber composition can be used as a loose fill insulating material for use in clothing or bedding articles or can be formed into a fabric for the same uses.

摘要： The specification describes a process of making a fiber for a carpet face yarn, the yarn being made of polyolefin/polymer filaments which contain a plurality of longitudinally dispersed relatively small, short polymer fibrils inside the filaments generally concentrated toward the center thereof within the polyolefm matrix. The yarn has the stain resistant properties of polyolefm based yarns and the resiliency of polyamide based yarns at a substantially lower cost than nylon carpet yarns.

摘要： Disperse dyeable compositions of ethylene alkylacrylate grafted onto polyolefin (isotactic polypropylene) are provided. A process for disperse dyeing polyolefin (isotactic polypropylene) shaped into articles such as fibers is provided. This process comprises (1) extruding the polyolefin with about 2 to 30 percent by weight of a thermoplastic copolymer of ethylene and alkylacrylates having one or four carbons in the alkyl group into fibers, and (2) exposing the fibers to a disperse dye bath containing a disperse dye.

摘要： Maleic anhydride-grafted HDPE fibers are disclosed. The processing of LLDPE and fibers is enhanced by including HDPE or LLDPE which has been grafted with maleic anhydride to obtain succinic acid or anhydride groups along the linear polyethylene chain in the fiber feed stock. The fibers are formed by extruding molten LLDPE containing the grafted HDPE or LLDPE through an orifice to form a thin fluid stream, melt drawing the thin fluid stream, and quenching the melt drawn thin fluid stream to form a fine denier strand. Biconstituent fibers of LLDPE and grafted HDPE or LLDPE, mixtures of such fibers with other fibers such as polyester, and woven and non-woven fabrics made from such fibers and fiber blends are also discovered.
