    Abstract: The present invention relates to a norbornene based addition polymer, and more particularly to an addition polymer of norbornene based monomers containing an ester group. The present invention provides a norbornene-ester based addition polymer having a molecular weight (Mn) larger than 20,000 and comprising a norbornene-ester based monomer comprising more than 50 mol % of exo norbornene-ester monomer as a repeating unit, a method for preparing the same, and an optically anisotropic film comprising the same. The norbornene-ester based addition polymer of the present invention is transparent, has a low dielectric constant, has good thermal stability and strength, leaves no unwanted materials when attached to metals or other polymers, and has good adhesivity, so that it can be used for optical films, retardation films, plastic substrate materials, transparent polymers such as POF or PCB, insulating materials, or insulating electronic devices such as PCB or insulating materials.

    Abstract: A system for controlling the starting of an air conditioner includes a compressor controlled in a pulse width modulation according to a duty cycle control signal, an electronic expansion valve for expanding refrigerant compressed in the compressor, a high pressure conduit connecting the exit side of the compressor and the inlet side of the electronic expansion valve, a low pressure conduit connecting the exit side of the electronic expansion valve and the inlet side of the compressor, a bypass conduit connected at its first end to the high pressure conduit and at its second end to the low pressure conduit, and a flow rate regulating valve mounted on the bypass conduit for regulating a flow rate of fluid flowing through the bypass conduit. A control unit controls the compressor during the starting of the compressor in such a way that the electronic expansion valve is open, the flow rate regulating valve is open and a duty control signal shorter than a duty control signal during a normal operation is generated.

    Abstract: A laser beam irradiation apparatus irradiates a laser beam onto a sealing unit disposed between a first substrate and a second substrate so as to seal the first substrate and the second substrate.     Abstract: A laser beam irradiation apparatus comprises: a laser oscillator; an optical fiber for transmitting a laser beam oscillated by the laser oscillator; an optical tube for accommodating an end of the optical fiber, and for performing a rectilinear motion on a plane perpendicular to a direction in which the laser beam is irradiated; and a pair of piezoelectric transducers disposed between the optical tube and the end of the optical fiber, and having first ends supporting the optical fiber.
