    摘要: Ultrasonic location systems are provided. These ultrasonic location systems include two or more wave transmitters, two or more wave receivers, and a mapping component that controls the operation of the transmitters and the receivers. The mapping component relies on collaborative operation of multiple transmitters and multiple phased-array receivers where each of the transmitters emits a short burst of sound wave in a pre-defined sequence and after every burst all phased-array receivers detect the wave reflected from surrounding objects. The mapping component uses the position of the transmitters, the position of the receivers, the time of transmission, the time of reception, and the phase shift of the waves to calculate a time of flight and a direction of arrival for the reflections. The mapping component uses triangulation to determine a distance between any physical objects acting as sources of reflection and one or more physical objects having a recorded position relative to the receivers.

    摘要: An environment monitoring system for a vehicle includes at least two distance sensors for detecting distance by measuring the propagation time of detection signals. The distance sensors are each designed as a transmitting unit and receiving unit for the detection signals and, in a direct operating mode, emit detection signals, receive reflected components of the detection signals emitted by the distance sensors; and emit active measurement signals according thereto. The system also includes a control device that receives the measurement signals of the distance sensors and determines the object distance of a detected object. At least one distance sensor additionally can be operated in an indirect operating mode to detect a detection signal emitted by another distance sensor and reflected by the object and to generate an indirect measurement signal.

    摘要: A method for sensing a wind and controlling a vehicle using a parking assist system (PAS) including a plurality of ultrasonic sensors and output devices is provided. The method includes controlling, by a controller, a first ultrasonic sensor disposed at a front side of a vehicle to transmit an ultrasonic signal. Respective primary indirect signals received from the ultrasonic sensors at the front side other than the first ultrasonic sensor are received by the controller. A second ultrasonic sensor adjacent to the first ultrasonic sensor to transmit the ultrasonic signal is controlled by the controller. Respective primary indirect signals received from the ultrasonic sensors at the front side other than the second ultrasonic sensor are received by the controller. The direction of the wind is sensed by the controller through a comparison of relative sizes of waveforms of each primary indirect signal and each secondary indirect signal.

    摘要: In a method and a device for determining the position of an object in relation to a vehicle, for use in a driver assistance system of the vehicle, a first ultrasound pulse is transmitted by an ultrasound sensor situated on the vehicle, the ultrasound pulse including multiple predefined transmission frequencies which result in a variation of the directional characteristic of the ultrasound sensor. The transmitted first ultrasound pulse is reflected on the object and is received again as a first echo pulse. A frequency spectrum of the first echo pulse is subsequently determined, and a first absolute value of a relative offset angle of the object is determined as a function of the frequency spectrum of the first echo pulse and the directional characteristics.
