Abstract: A cable retractor includes a housing. A motorized drive section within the housing urges at least a segment of cable past the drive section. A chamber within the housing holds at least another segment of the cable that is stored freely without a specific arrangement of the cable. The motorized drive section urges the cable in a first direction to draw the at least another segment from the chamber, then past the motorized drive section, and then through an external opening in the housing to outside. The motorized drive urges the cable in a second, opposing direction to draw the another segment through the external opening in the housing from outside, then past the motorized drive section, and then into the chamber, the another segment being urged freely into the chamber without a specific arrangement of the cable in the chamber.

Abstract: There are provided a liquid jetting apparatus in which the deterioration of production efficiency is suppressed in a case in which the floating of a medium occurs, and a method of coping with the floating of a medium. A medium is fed; liquid is jetted to the medium, which is transported by a medium transport unit including a medium support surface on which the medium is supported and transporting the fed medium in a medium transport direction, by a liquid jet head; drying processing is performed on the medium, to which the liquid jetted from the liquid jet head adheres, at a position on the downstream side of the liquid jet head in the medium transport direction; and in a case in which the floating of the medium is detected at a position on the upstream side of the liquid jet head in the medium transport direction, the medium continues to be fed, the liquid jet head is moved to a retreat position from a liquid jet position, and the intensity of drying processing is suppressed in comparison with that in a liquid-drying processing-performing state in which drying processing is performed on the medium.

Abstract: Provided is a paper sheet processing apparatus capable of distinguishing a counterfeit bill or a paper sheet suspicious to be a counterfeit bill from bills inserted through an insertion slot to stop a wrongdoing. A storage unit stores information on a paper sheet read by a bill reader and a verification unit verifies the paper sheet using the information on the paper sheet stored in the storage unit. If the paper sheet is determined to be counterfeit in the verification, a conveyance unit conveys the paper sheet toward the insertion slot. A comparison unit compares the image data of the inserted paper sheet with image data of a previously inserted paper sheet and if the image data of the inserted paper sheet is determined to be identical to the image data of the previously inserted paper sheet in the comparison, a control unit sends a signal to a host apparatus.

Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a first and a second housing parts, a printing part, and a conveying part which includes a holding part that holds a first paper sheet and a second paper sheet in an overlapped state and respectively pulled out from a first paper roll and a second paper roll, and conveys the first paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part. The holding part includes a contacting member contacting the second paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet in an overlapped state, and an opposing member arranged opposing the contacting member and contacting the first paper sheet. A first frictional force between the contacting member and the second paper sheet is larger than a second frictional force between the opposing member and the first paper sheet.

Abstract: Provided is a paper sheet processing system capable of collecting a wrong paper sheet put in a bill processing apparatus to examine the collected paper sheet without making the supplier feel doubt. A paper sheet processing apparatus verifies a paper sheet using image data acquired by a bill reader when the bill is being conveyed. If the paper sheet is determined to be counterfeit in the verification, the paper sheet processing apparatus holds the paper sheet within the paper sheet processing apparatus and sends a signal from a controller of the paper sheet processing apparatus to instruct a report device to report a result different from the result of the verification. The report device reports a result irrelevant to use of a wrong paper sheet.

The information processing apparatus is configured to receive information about the post-processing device from the image forming apparatus, transmit based on the received information the print job to the image forming apparatus when determining that the post-processing device corresponding to the post-processing designated in the print job is mounted on the post-processing apparatus, and not to transmit the print job to the image forming apparatus when determining that the post-processing device corresponding to the post-processing designated in the print job is not mounted on the post-processing apparatus.
