Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a first and a second housing parts, a printing part, and a conveying part which includes a holding part that holds a first paper sheet and a second paper sheet in an overlapped state and respectively pulled out from a first paper roll and a second paper roll, and conveys the first paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part. The holding part includes a contacting member contacting the second paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet in an overlapped state, and an opposing member arranged opposing the contacting member and contacting the first paper sheet. A first frictional force between the contacting member and the second paper sheet is larger than a second frictional force between the opposing member and the first paper sheet.
Abstract:
A mill roll stand for supporting at least one roll of paper or similar web-like material. The stand has a pair of endless members arranged with a spacing therebetween, at least one pair of bases mounted on the endless members so as to be opposed to each other, at least one pair of center shafts supported in the bases so as to be laterally slidable into and out of the center hole in the roll to be supported to hold the roll, a drive for driving the endless members in a synchronous manner, and a guide for guiding at least part of the endless members so that they will run in a predetermined route even under the weight of the web rolls.
Abstract:
An unpowered, manually operable apparatus (10) for dispensing cushioning wrap material (13) includes a frame (12), a roll (14) of interleaf material (16) rotatably secured to the frame, a roll (18) of expandable sheet material (20) in an unexpanded form rotatably secured to the frame adjacent the roll of interleaf material, and a tensioning assembly (60, 70, 80, 90) operably associated with the roll of expandable sheet material to control rotational resistance thereof. The rotational resistance causes the expandable sheet material to expand in length and thickness as it is pulled with the interleaf material by a user. Typically, the roll of interleaf material and the roll of expandable sheet material are secured to the frame such that respective longitudinal centerlines of each roll are substantially aligned. In addition, typically, the axial directions of the rolls are substantially parallel.
Abstract:
An apparatus for automatically mounting rolls of a web material on a mill roll stand first moves a web roll on a roller conveyor in an axial direction and then in a lateral direction toward roll supports. The web roll is then automatically aligned with the roll supports by moving it vertically or turning the roll supports.
Abstract:
A printer includes a first housing part, a second housing part, a printing part that prints on the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet, a conveying part that includes a holding part that is configured to hold the overlapping first paper sheet and the second paper sheet respectively pulled out from a first paper roll and a second paper roll, and conveys the first paper sheet out of the first paper sheet and the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part, a first paper sheet sensor that detects the presence of the first paper sheet, and a controlling part that makes the conveying part convey the second paper sheet held by the holding part to the printing part when the first paper sheet sensor detects that there is no first paper sheet to be conveyed to the printing part.
Abstract:
A packaging apparatus includes a controller configured to control operation of a first conveying unit, a second conveying unit, a first moving unit, and a second moving unit. When a film is loaded onto the first conveying unit and the second conveying unit, the controller causes a first clamp unit to clamp the film delivered from a delivering unit and causes a first feeder portion to convey the film. Simultaneously, while causing a second clamp unit to be released or the second clamp unit to intermittently clamp the film delivered from the delivering unit, the controller causes a second feeder portion to convey the film and also causes the second conveying unit to move in a direction separating from the first conveying unit and, when the second conveying unit reaches a predetermined position, causes the second clamp unit to clamp the film.
Abstract:
An apparatus for providing a continuous supply of web material to a web printer or other system. The web material is fed from a first roll supported in a feed position, and when the first roll is near depletion, the leading end of a second roll is adhesively connected to the web of the first roll with that web then being severed. One belt drive means is employed for rotating both the forward and rearward rolls so that these achieve the same speed for the connecting and severing operations. The belt drive means are connected to the press drive through control means which vary the belt drive speed in accordance with the tension of the web. An indexing conveyor supports forward and rearward rolls to locate the rolls in the forward and rearward running positions and in intermediate positions for connecting and severing of the web material and for loading of new rolls into the system.

Abstract:
The rewinding machine includes: at least a first and a second winding cylinder (3, 5), whose axes are parallel, defining a winding cradle (7) in which said reels of web (N) are formed, and mating centers (65) for engaging and withholding the winding mandrels (M, M1, M2) on which the reels are formed in the winding cradle. It is further provided a pair of lateral flanks (43), on each of which a corresponding guide (61) defining a closed path is arranged, along which guide a plurality of said mating centers (65) are mobily arranged. Each mating center associated to one of said flanks is aligned with a corresponding mating center associated to the other of said flanks. It is further provided a drive system to move the mating centers along each of said guides.
