    摘要: A vacuum breaker that includes a substantially cylindrical tubular body having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end has a rim extending away from the body and a ledge extending axially away from the rim thus defining an L-shaped profile. A retainer bead extends axially away from an end of the ledge toward the vacuum breaker body, wherein the retainer bead is adapted to provide a friction fit for releasably attaching a flow control insert to the first end of the body of the vacuum breaker. The second end of the body includes a plurality of lip seals, wherein each lip seal defines a slit with a molded hinged member at an end thereof. The hinged member is preferably in the shape of a hole to prevent tearing and maintain the correct slit length.

    摘要: A diaphragm assembly for use in conventional diaphragm-type flush valves includes a flexible diaphragm body having a first side and a second side and a bypass orifice filter insert defined in the diaphragm body. The second side of the diaphragm body includes an annular protrusion and a plurality of protruding ribs, wherein a recess area is defined between the rib and the protrusion. When a pressure difference is applied across the diaphragm body, the second side of the diaphragm body is concave and the first side of the diaphragm body is convex, whereby a distance between the rib and the protrusion decreases in order to prevent the diaphragm body from closing two quickly against a valve seat of a flush valve. A method for controlling pressure differences across the diaphragm body is also disclosed.

    摘要: A method and device for coating a medical device, such as a stent, including forming coating droplets using a mesh nebulizer and transporting the coating droplets to the medical device, for example through a converging chamber. The coating droplets may be accelerated to a speed sufficient to break the coating droplets into smaller droplets upon impact with the medical device. The mesh nebulizer may have a convex inlet side and may form a converging plume of coating droplets. The mesh nebulizer may have one or more groups of pores, the pores within each group may be subject to similar amplitudes of vibration. The coating material may be heated or cooled prior to nebulizing. The chamber may include baffles configured to allow only a predetermined size range of coating particles to pass.

    摘要: An applicator and method of application for a snap wrap marker which may be operated in one embodiment from ground level by a workman with the applicator at the end of a long pole. The pre-coiled plastic marker (for example) is manually uncoiled and its ends positioned to be releasably engaged by pressure holding clips which hold the marker in an open receiving position. The applicator is then raised, (for example) and an opening in the applicator is positioned on either side of the distant cable. The applicator is then pushed so that the marker is pushed downwardly out of the pressure holding clips and then coils itself around and engages the cable. The applicator is then removed leaving the marker coiled around the cable and the applicator ready for another application.
