    Abstract: The present coupler-mounted connector enables industry standard hooks on horizontal rods to rest at such a height as to provide uniform appearance to the top of drape walls. The coupler-mounted connector includes an adaptor to support couplers for the drape rods to be mounted on a vertically disposed, affixed coupler, such as a coupler on a pipe, a flat-mounted coupler, or any other coupler. The body of the coupler-mounted connector is positioned around the affixed coupler. The coupler-mounted connector includes a spanning element with a lower wedge to mate with the openings in the upper body of the affixed coupler. The coupler-mounted connector is secured in the coupler with the accessories protruding to one or more sides of the coupler-mounted connector. The accessories are connected to the coupler-mounted connector by one or more connection bridges.

    Abstract: A method of processing is disclosed that provides improved water retention and enhanced coloring and flavor, while preserving the meat and preventing bacterial contamination. In an exemplary embodiment, the method includes: (a) providing a body of meat at a first temperature; (b) contacting the body of meat of step (a), in at least one treating vessel, with a brine solution at a second temperature, wherein the second temperature is greater than the first temperature, and wherein the brine solution comprises a vinegar-derived food additive and/or a reddening agent, wherein the reddening agent comprises nitrite; (c) agitating the body of meat at the second temperature for a time sufficient to distribute the solution throughout the body of meat; (d) cooling the body of meat in at least one cooling vessel to a third temperature, wherein the third temperature is less than the second temperature; (e) agitating the body of meat at the third temperature; (f) contacting the body of meat of step (e) with the brine solution at the third temperature and agitating the body of meat at the third temperature until the brine solution is substantially absorbed by the body of meat; and (g) recovering the body of meat in a dry state at the third temperature.
    In one embodiment, the aforementioned brine solution comprises a vinegar-variety food additive, such as a vinegar-derived acetate composition. In another embodiment, the reddening agent comprises nitrate derived from plant material comprising nitrate.

    Abstract: Machines, devices, and other objects are configured to use authorization tokens to verify object identities without human input. In examples, the object uses a password to validate the object's identity to an authorization server to obtain an access token for use in multiple applications. In another example, the object uses a certificate to validate the object's identity to an authorization server to obtain an access token. In other examples, any other suitable identifying data may be used to validate the object's identity to an authorization server to obtain an access token. The process of using passwords, certificates, or other validation processes to obtain tokens or other authorization mechanisms allows the object to authenticate themselves without human interaction and to use a single identity to access services from multiple service providers that trust a central authorization server.

    Abstract: The technology may be utilized in network environments that use fiber optic cables to connect components. Components of the network perform functions as transceivers that transmit and receive light signals via the fiber cable. When optic power data received from the transceivers is recognized as a fault, an event is identified. The system logs each received event and converts all measurements into a common unit of measurement. The system analyzes aggregated data from the transceivers to detect patterns and trends, monitor the received data and provide real time fault predictions. For example, a machine learning process may recognize subtle trends or patterns in the data, and use the recognition to predict potential failures. The system uses the received data to create a graphical user interface (“GUI”) that represents the health of the network.
