摘要: A spring operated actuator for an electric switching apparatus including an actuator spring and a rotary air damper. The damper has components that are rotatable relative to each other and is arranged to decelerate the actuating movement during an end portion. The damper has a toroidal working chamber with internal wall surfaces formed by two circumferential housing parts. They are rotatable relative to each other and are meeting each other such that a first and a second gap are formed. There is a seal between the two housing parts, which bridges the respective gap. The seal has a first circumferential seal at the first gap and a second circumferential seal at the second gap. At least one of the first and second seals includes a sealing body fitted in a groove formed in the internal walls of at least one housing part.

摘要: An actuating device for a vacuum switching tube has a connecting element which can be connected to an electric contact of the vacuum switching tube, an electromagnetic actuating device for displacing the connecting element between a first and a second position, and a retaining yoke, relative to which the connecting element can be displaced and has a first magnetic element. The first magnetic element generates a first and a second magnetic circuit in the retaining yoke. The actuating device further has a ferromagnetic retaining anchor, which is arranged on the connecting element. The retaining anchor is located in the first position of the connecting element in the first magnetic circuit and in the second position of the connecting element in the second magnetic circuit. The connecting element is held in the first and in the second position by a respective magnetic force between the retaining yoke and the retaining anchor.

摘要: An on-load tap changer is provided having a plurality of modules, each of which is operable to change taps in a transformer winding. The tap changer includes a motor connected to rotate at least one shaft. The at least one shaft is connected to the tap change modules and is operable upon rotation to cause the tap change modules to each perform a sequence of operations that effectuate a tap change. A multi-turn absolute encoder is connected to the at least one shaft. A monitoring system is connected to the encoder and is operable to determine from the position of the at least one shaft where the tap change modules are in the sequence of operations.
