Abstract: Systems and methods for building and using a false alarm predicting model to determine whether to alert a user and/or relevant authorities about an alarm signal from a security system are provided. Such systems and methods can include a learning module receiving the alarm signal and additional information associated with the alarm signal, using the false alarm predicting model to process a combination of the alarm signal and the additional information to determine whether the combination represents a false alarm or a valid alarm, and transmitting a status signal indicative of whether the combination represents the false alarm or the valid alarm to an automated dispatcher module, and the automated dispatcher module using the status signal to automatically determine whether to alert the user and/or the relevant authorities about the alarm signal.

Abstract: A wireless communication system for exchanging messages between a patient support apparatus and a headwall unit includes intelligence built into either or both of these devices (and/or a server) for detecting when a mismatch occurs between the communication capabilities of the patient support apparatus and those of the headwall unit. A warning is issued in those situations where a caregiver is relying on communication abilities that are not present in one or both of the devices. Examples of such situations include, but are not limited to, a nurse call cable not being coupled between the patient support apparatus and the nurse call system when the patient support apparatus does not have the capability to wirelessly communicate with the nurse call system. Alternatively, or additionally, the headwall unit may issue an alert to a nurse call system if it detects one or more conditions that warrant immediate caregiver attention.

Abstract: A method of analyzing events for an electrical system includes: receiving event stream(s) of events occurring in the electrical system, the events being identified from captured energy-related signals in the system; analyzing, an event stream(s) of the events to identify different actionable triggers therefrom, the different triggers including a scenario in which a group of events satisfies one or more predetermined triggering conditions; analyzing, over time, the different actionable triggers to identify a combination of occurring and/or non-occurring actionable triggers which satisfies a predefined trigger combination condition and an analysis time constraint; and in response to the observation of the combination, taking one or more actions to address the events. The analysis time constraint can be a time period duration and/or sequence within which time-stamped data of events in the event stream(s) and the associated actionable triggers are considered or not considered in the analysis to identify the combination.

Abstract: An alarm management system includes a control arrangement, an alarm device, a blockchain, a blockchain application, and a plurality of nodal access sites. The blockchain is stored in the medium, and includes a plurality of transaction types. Each transaction type includes at least one linked transaction, and the at least one linked transaction is time stamped. The blockchain application is stored in the medium, and is executed by the processor, and is configured to time stamp each one of the transactions. The blockchain is applied by the application to determine a current associated transaction with any one of the transaction types, and output data associated with the current transaction. The plurality of nodal access sites are configured to receive and output the data associated with the current transaction.
