Abstract: A method for phase ranging of a personal area network device includes receiving an initial personal area network packet and storing header information contained in the initial personal area network packet. A phase shift is measured utilizing information transmitted in place of the stored header information in at least one incoming personal area network packet. A range of the personal area network device is calculated based on the phase shift of the information transmitted in place of the stored header information in an incoming personal area network packet.

Abstract: A system and method include, among other things, providing at least one vehicle transceiver and at least one tire information sensor for a tire on a vehicle and wirelessly communicating between the at least one vehicle transceiver and the at least one tire information sensor via a signal. A phase shift in the signal is determined and a physical distance between the at least one vehicle transceiver and the at least one tire information sensor is determined based on the phase shift. A position of the at least one tire information sensor within the vehicle is then determined based on the physical distance.

Abstract: A vehicle object detection system according to an example of the present disclosure at least two BLE modules configured to communicate with each other and measure RSSI values between the at least two BLE modules. The system also includes a main controller configured to communicate with the at least two BLE modules to receive the measured RSSI values between the at least two BLE modules. At least one of the main controller or at least one of the at least two BLE modules are configured to evaluate said measured RSSI values to detect an object between the at least two BLE modules in response to a change in said measured RSSI values.
