摘要: Systems and methods are provided for using an additively manufactured vehicle, such as an UUV, with additively manufactured modules. The vehicle may be configurable such that additively manufactured modules or components may be detachably connected to the vehicle by hand, without the use of tools. Such modules may include connectors adapted to securely attach additional modules that may be detached by hand, without the use of tools. The additively manufactured modules may include ball bearings for rotating modules such as propellers and thrusters, and clips or tabs for detachable connection. The modules may include optical components for communications between a swarm of unmanned vehicles. Such optical modules for underwater vehicles may utilize nephelometry and/or turbidimetry to improve communications parameters based on scattered light measurements.

摘要: A camera module includes a housing, a carrier, a frame, a lens holder, an autofocusing (AF) ball bearing, and an optical image stabilization (OIS) ball bearing. The carrier is coupled to the housing and configured to move in an optical axis direction. The frame is coupled to the carrier and configured to move in a first axis direction, perpendicular to the optical axis direction. The lens holder is coupled to the frame and configured to move in a second axis direction, perpendicular to the optical axis and the first axis. The AF ball bearing is disposed between the housing and the carrier. The OIS ball bearing is disposed on either one or both of the carrier and the frame, and the frame and the lens holder. Either one or both of the AF ball bearing and the OIS ball bearing have an elastic modulus of 20 GPa or less.

摘要: A bearing device for a wheel has a stem shaft of an outer joint member of a constant-velocity universal joint fit and inserted in a hole of a hub wheel, the stem shaft and hub wheel being coupled through an intermediation of a recess-projection fitting structure. Projections extending in an axial direction are provided on one of the stem shaft and an inner diameter surface of the hole of the hub wheel. The projections are press-fit into another of the stem shaft and the inner diameter surface of the hole along the axial direction. Recesses that adhere to and fit the projections are formed in the other. An end on an inboard side of the hub wheel is caulked to an outer diameter side to form a caulking section and preload is applied to a roller bearing by the caulking section.

摘要: High temperature rolling element bearings and methods for manufacturing high temperature bearing components, such as bearing races or rings, are provided. In one embodiment, the method includes obtaining a powder mixture containing a superalloy powder admixed with hard wear particles, such as carbide particles. The powder mixture is consolidated utilizing a spark plasma sintering process during which the powder mixture is compressed into a sintered blank, while an electrical current is conducted through the powder mixture to heat the powder mixture to a sintering temperature. The sintered blank is then machined to impart the bearing component with its final shape. Precipitate hardening may also be performed, if desired. The spark plasma sintering process is controlled to limit the temperature and duration of the powder consolidation process thereby imparting the resulting bearing component with an enhanced hot hardness and other desirable properties at highly elevated operating temperatures.
