    摘要: Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a hydrodynamic bearing in which a metal bearing made of sintered metal powder is internally subjected to chemical etching, to form hydrodynamic pressure grooves thereon, thus assuring a high-precision and reliable hydrodynamic bearing. The method includes: compressing metal powder that is a raw material of the bearing in a press unit, and sintering the compressed metal powder at a predetermined temperature, thus preparing a sintered bearing; removing foreign substances adhering to the sintered bearing through a deburring process, and pressing the sintered bearing into a desired shape; forming a hydrodynamic groove, configured to generate hydrodynamic pressure, on an internal surface of the shaped bearing using chemical etching; and conducting a post treatment of cleaning the bearing including the hydrodynamic grooves thereon and drying the bearing.

    摘要: A working fluid injection apparatus for injecting a working fluid into a gap between a housing and a shaft of a bearing unit of a fluid dynamic pressure bearing. The apparatus has an adapter configured to support the bearing unit in a state in which an end portion of the shaft protrudes from an open portion of the housing. A cover member has an upper opening, a lower opening, and a tapered inner surface with a radial dimension that increases gradually from the lower opening to the upper opening. The cover member is configured to be mounted in contact with an upper surface of the housing when the bearing unit is supported by the adapter so that the lower opening of the cover member surrounds the open portion of the housing and so that the protruding end portion of the shaft and the tapered inner surface of the cover member form a reservoir portion that communicates with the open portion of the housing and that is configured to store a working fluid.

The ball-joint also comprises a first contact layer, applied to the spherical surface of one of the rings, and a second contact layer, applied to the spherical surface of the other ring. According to the invention, the first contact layer has a hardness which is less than the hardness of the second contact layer and a thickness which is greater than the thickness of the second contact layer, the first contact layer further being adapted to release particles of solid lubricant by friction with the second contact layer.

    摘要: An undersize repair region of a gas turbine engine stationary shroud is repaired with a sufficient mass of a repair material. The repair region includes a protruding portion that is undersized, and the repair includes machining of the protruding portion, grooving the resulting rub surface, inserting a replacement element, applying a brazing repair material, and brazing the article to form a repaired article. The repair material preferably includes a first fraction of a first powder of a first alloy component, and a second fraction of a second powder of a second alloy component. The first alloy component and the second alloy component have different solidus temperatures. The repair material is placed in the repair region. The repair material and the repair region are heated to melt the repair material but not the repair region, and thereafter the repair material and the repair region are cooled to solidify the repair material.
