摘要: Methods for making fire retardant material including fire retardant cellulosic insulation are described. The methods include arrangements for partitioning fibers derived from fiber feedstocks and adding at least a portion of fibers of one or more feedstocks and a fire retardancy chemical compound to a mixer prior to fiber drying. The fibers may be disentangled and/or partitioned prior to mixing with the fire retardancy chemical compound. The fibers may be partially dewatered prior to the drying or other steps of the methods. The feedstock may include old newsprint (ONP), old corrugated containers (OCC), and/or other cellulose-based materials. The method further includes retaining the fibers feedstock and the chemical compound together for enough time to ensure adherence and impregnation of enough of the chemical to and in the fibers after the drying process. Fibers may be partitioned and disentangled prior to, during, and/or after treatment with the fire retardancy compound. The fire retardant cellulose insulation may be a standalone product or may be a component of a finished insulation end product.

摘要: A plate segment includes a substrate having a front side and a back side, wherein the back side is configured to be mounted to a support disc of a disperser; rows of teeth protruding from the front side of the substrate, wherein each of the rows are arranged along an arc extending from one side of the plate segment to an opposite side of the plate segment. In at least one of the rows of teeth, adjacent teeth are joined by a bridge spanning a gap between the adjacent teeth. The bridge is elevated above the front side of the substrate such that the bridge is separated from the front side by an open space in the gap.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing recycled pulp fibers such that articles using the recycled pulp fibers can easily achieve a uniform whiteness and users are not prone to feel psychological resistance to articles using the recycled pulp fibers. This method is described below. The method is characterized by involving: a step for supplying, from a mixed solution supply port (32) to a treatment tank (31), a mixed solution (51) which contains superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers derived from multiple types of used sanitary products; a step for supplying an ozone-containing gas (53) from an ozone-containing gas supply port (43) to a treatment solution (52) inside of the treatment tank (31); a step in which, by raising the ozone-containing gas (53) while lowering the superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers in the treatment tank (31), the ozone-containing gas (53) is brought into contact with the superabsorbent polymers and the pulp fibers, and the pulp fibers are bleached to form recycled pulp fibers; and a step for discharging the treatment solution (52) from a treatment solution discharge port (33), wherein the recycled pulp fibers have a 0-10 ΔYI with respect to a standard white plate.

摘要: A system and method of forming a molded pulp product that involves separately collecting, from a paper-making process, waste water containing short fibers at a first fiber consistency, waste water as dilution water containing fibers at a second fiber consistency that is lower than the first fiber consistency, and water containing long fibers, the long fibers having a length that is greater than a length of the short fibers, blending the waste water containing short fibers and the water containing long fibers to obtain a pulp slurry, and molding the pulp slurry into a molded pulp product at a pulp molding machine. In an embodiment, filtrate removed during the molding of the molded pulp product has a BOD measurement that is 95% less than a BOD measurement of the pulp slurry, where the BOD measurements are obtained using the EPA 405.1, SM5210B Test Method.

摘要: A method for the production of paper products, such as paper and cardboard, by recycling cellulose-based raw materials containing starch. The method includes the steps of pulping in water cellulose-based raw materials containing starch, particularly recycled paper products, obtaining a pulped mass; adding to the pulped mass of the previous step under agitation a mineral acid in a quantity that is suitable to obtain a pH of the pulped mass not lower than 4, and obtaining a pulped mass treated with acid. The method further includes the step of subjecting the pulped mass treated with acid obtained in the second step, optionally treated with other chemical additives, in succession, to filtration, pressing and drying, and obtaining a paper product. Paper products obtainable by this method are also related.
