Abstract: Disclosed herein is a biodegradable polyolefin fiber comprising a core formed of polyolefin and an oxide layer formed outside the core according to an embodiment of the present invention. According to the present invention, the polyolefin fiber is capable of having biodegradable properties by mixing raw materials and the biodegradable additive in a specific condition. In addition, the oxide layer is formed on the surface of the polyolefin fiber, thereby improving the initial oxo-biodegradation rate and reducing the biodegradation time.

Abstract: An ultra-high-molecular-weight fiber manufacturing method is provided. The method includes: removing moisture in a mixed liquid to form a to-be-processed raw material, and supplying the to-be-processed raw material to a spinning device, where the spinning device heats the to-be-processed raw material in different stages, to make the to-be-processed raw material form a semi-molten state and be extruded toward a discharge outlet, to spin at least one fibril; cooling the at least one fibril, to form a first wire; if hardness of the first wire is not in a hardness range, selecting at least two discontinuous heating zones located in the spinning device to perform temperature adjustment; stretching, heating, and re-stretching the first wire, to form a second wire; winding the second wire around a drum; and stretching, drying, and re-stretching the second wire, to form a final wire product.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a polyamide resin and a preparation method therefor, a composition, and a fiber product. The polyamide comprises diamine structural units and diacid structural units, wherein 90 mol % or more of the diacid structural units are derived from adipic acid, 90 mol % or more of the diamine structural units are derived from 1,5-pentanediamine, and the polyamide resin contains a water-extractable substance in a content of 0.7 wt. % or less. The water-extractable substance has a number average molecular weight of 2000 or less. The preparation method of the polyamide resin of the present disclosure is simple without using large-scale equipment, and the process parameters thereof are easy to control, thereby facilitating mass production thereof. The polyamide resin of the present disclosure has a long spinneret wipe cycle time and less broken filament times, and the obtained fiber has less broken filaments, low yarn unevenness, less dyed dark grain, a good dyeing effect, and an excellent elongation at break, breaking strength and a lower boiling water shrinkage, a high spinning yield and a high dyeing yield.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing an elastic fiber and the elastic fiber are provided. The method includes: providing a thermoplastic polyester elastomer; drying the thermoplastic polyester elastomer; melting the thermoplastic polyester elastomer by an extruder to form a melt; extruding the melt by a spinneret plate to form a plurality of filamentous streams; feeding the filamentous streams into a spinning channel for cooling and curing to form a plurality of monofilaments; and bundling and oiling the monofilaments by an oil wheel, after extending and guiding the monofilaments by a first godet roller and a second godet roller, and winding the monofilaments by a winder to obtain a thermoplastic polyester elastic fiber.

Abstract: The invention provides for a method of manufacturing artificial turf (1000). The method includes creating a polymer mixture, such as polymer mixture (400), where the polymer mixture is at least a three-phase system. The polymer mixture includes a first polymer, a second polymer and a compatibilizer. The first polymer is a polyamide (PA) and the second polymer is a polyethylene (PE). The first polymer is included in an amount of 0.125 percent to 5 percent by weight, the second polymer is included in an amount of 60 percent to 97 percent by weight and the compatibilizer is included in an amount of 0.375 percent to 15 percent by weight. The first polymer and the second polymer are immiscible, and the first polymer forms polymer beads surrounded by the compatibilizer within the second polymer.

Abstract: A system having a first polymer source and a spin beam in fluid communication with the first polymer source is provided. The spin beam includes a spinneret assembly having filament nozzles configured and arranged to extrude a plurality of filaments of a first polymer. A gas distribution plate is disposed downstream of the spinneret assembly, and includes a plurality of gas distribution slots that are configured and arranged to receive two or more corresponding filament nozzles of the spinneret assembly therein. A stream of gas is introduced into the plurality of slots to draw and attenuate the filaments extruded by the plurality of filament nozzles. The drawn and attenuated filaments are collected on a collection surface disposed downstream of the gas distribution plate to form a nonwoven fabric. A solid additive, such as pulp fibers may be blended with the filaments prior to collecting the filaments on the collection surface.
