Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method for measuring two-dimensional distribution of an industrial irradiation dose based on sprouting lag time of spores, and provides a film for measuring distribution of an industrial irradiation dose. The method includes the following steps: (1) manufacturing the film: spreading a layer of spore suspension flat on a plane of a carrier, and evaporating a suspension solvent to fix a layer of spore pixel surface on the plane of the carrier; covering the carrier with a glass lid to form a sprouting cavity to cover the spore pixel surface within the sprouting cavity; and providing the glass lid with a filling hole configured to add a sprouting agent; (2) obtaining a calibration curve; and (3) measuring the irradiation dose.

Abstract: A system and method for novel processes of isolation, aseptic collection, genus-specie identification and quantification, and mapping of a restricted mixed microbe infection in living tissues in situ showing spatial distribution of the microbes within a sample of the living tissue. A tooth lesion or extraction socket and an endodontic entry excavation adjacent to an implant are examples of lesions resulting from such mixed microbe infections. The process may be incorporated into treatment procedures in a restricted area within hard or soft tissue, diagnostic techniques, minimizing failure of treatment processes, and validation of methods and products claiming antimicrobial or other properties in a treatment or preventive technique.

Abstract: It is provided a monitoring reactor and a method for using the same, belonging to microbiologic electrochemical early-warning technology. The monitoring reactor enriches microorganisms therein before use, and consumes the organic matter. When the organic matter in the monitoring reactor is consumed completely, i.e. the microorganisms are in a starved state, the monitoring reactor is placed in a system to be monitored for monitoring, thereby avoiding the interference of the organic matter in the soil in the monitoring reactor to the electrical signal and improving the monitoring accuracy. Furthermore, since the electrical signal in the monitoring reactor is conducted through the electricigens, the process of generating electricity of the electricigens is a process of growth and propagation of microorganism. This process is less affected by the monitored environment. Therefore, the signal output process is stable, without swell and sag of the electrical signal.

Abstract: This disclosure provides, inter alia, an optimized strain of Nitrosomonas eutropha (N. eutropha) designated D23, D23-100, or AOB D23-100. N. eutropha bacteria disclosed in this application have desirable properties, e.g., optimized properties, such as the ability to suppress growth of pathogenic bacteria, and an enhanced ability to produce nitric oxide and nitric oxide precursors. The N. eutropha herein may be used, for instance, to treat diseases associated with low nitrite levels, skin diseases, and diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria.

Abstract: Disclosed is an ex-vivo model of inflamed skin, an in-vitro method for obtaining the same and uses thereof for screening anti-inflammatory compounds.
