摘要: A cell culture bioreactor is disclosed that has a cell culture vessel with an interior reservoir to contain a cell substrate, an inlet fluidly connected to the reservoir, and an outlet fluidly connect to the reservoir. The bioreactor also has a sensor system for measuring impedance within the reservoir. The sensor system includes a pair of electrodes that are spaced apart from each other with at least a portion of the cell substrate disposed between the pair of electrodes. Each electrode of the pair of electrodes includes a plurality of pores to allow at least one of cells and culture media to flow through the electrode.

摘要: The present invention relates to a Biochemical-Level Automatic-screening Smart droplet-TO-micro-hydrogels chip (BLASTO-chip) system for sperm selection. The BLASTO-chip technology advances sperm selection from the primitive morphology level to a more sophisticated biochemical level, and it will not only provide a powerful tool to patients who have fertility problems but also work as a platform for further development of more advanced sperm selection technologies. The present invention also provides a method for improving the success rate of in vitro fertilization in a patient with asthenospermia.

The present invention comprises: a housing having a certain length and having respective ends which are open; first and second caps respectively assembled to one end and the other end of the housing; and at least one spiral type culture support which is disposed in an internal space of the housing and in which a cell culture is performed. The spiral type culture support comprises at least one culture sheet of which one edge is in contact with and is fixed to a support shaft having a certain length, the culture sheet is spirally wound around the support shaft, and a culture medium passes in one direction due to a gap formed between the spirally wound culture sheet and the inner side thereof, and thus, a cell culture space is formed in which the cell culture is performed.

摘要: Provided herein is a 3D microfluidic device mimicking an anatomy and physiology of a human lung alveolar interstitium comprising: at least one inlet and one outlet in fluid communication with an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber; an interstitium chamber that comprises an electrospun nanofibrous membrane to support the growth of lung epithelial cells and fibroblasts, at least one inlet chamber and an outlet chamber to provide a growth media to the lung epithelial cells and fibroblasts; a pneumatic chamber separated from the interstitium chamber by a water-impermeable membrane and a source of air in fluid communication with the pneumatic chamber; and an air chamber in fluid communication a second side of the with electrospun nanofibrous membrane of the interstitium chamber, wherein the air chamber is opposite the pneumatic chamber; wherein the integration of inputs and outputs mimics the anatomy and physiology of the human lung alveolar interstitium.
