Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of adhesion property improvement, particularly to a process and device for improvement treatment of a polyester cord and a rubber adhesive. By filling an extremely few amount of calcined gypsum powders into chloroprene rubber to be secondarily stirred and extruded while adding fatty acid calcium and an anti-aging agent and uniformly mixing a stirring and mixing component using a specific solvent, the adhesion behavior between the rubber adhesive and the polyester cord is increased, and the bonding strength between the rubber adhesive and the polyester cord is improved; furthermore, through mutual connection and installation of the extrusion modification component, stirring and mixing component and the compounding modification component, continuous operation of modification treatment of the polyester cord and the rubber adhesive, the structure is simple, and use is convenient. .
Abstract:
The chloroprene adhesive system according to the invention guarantees, even at high temperatures, improved stability of the adhesive bond compared to an adhesive bond produced using conventional multi-component adhesives. The chloroprene adhesive system comprises a first component (A), which contains inter alia an unsaturated elastomer, in particular chloroprene rubber. In addition, the first component (A) comprises an additive, in particular a metal oxide and preferably zinc oxide. Furthermore, the chloroprene adhesive system contains as a second component (B) a halogenated reactive curing resin and preferably a brominated reactive curing resin.
Abstract:
Water-based adhesive compositions are improved by the incorporation of hollow polymeric microspheres having outer surfaces coated with one or more barrier materials such as calcium carbonate particles. The adhesive compositions exhibit enhanced rheology, sprayability, drying time, tack and storage stability as compared to analogous adhesives that are not modified with coated hollow polymeric microspheres. Such compositions are useful as both contact adhesives as well as wet bonding one-way adhesives.
Abstract:
Aqueous-based adhesive composition comprising a mixture of polycholorprenes, at least one self-crosslinkable agent of alkyd type and at least one filler, 2) use of such a composition as contact adhesive, 3) multilayer structure assembled with the aid of the adhesive composition 1).
Abstract:
Polymer blend compositions are disclosed comprising a polychloroprene homopolymer and a polymethacrylic acid having a weight average molecular weight of not greater than 50,000 daltons. A process for preparation of the polymer blend composition is also disclosed. The polymer blend compositions are useful for preparing solvent-based adhesive compositions having excellent high temperature adhesion properties.
Abstract:
An adhesive composition containing a polyvinyl alcohol-stabilized butadiene polymer latex and a methylene donor compound. The butadiene polymer latex is prepared by an emulsion polymerization in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol. The adhesive composition may also contain other optional ingredients such as a supplemental polymeric film-forming component, a nitroso compound crosslinker, a maleimide compound crosslinker, a vulcanizing agent, and an acid-scavenging compound. The polyvinyl alcohol-stabilized butadiene polymer latex and methylene donor compound combine to provide a tightly crosslinked, robust film which provides for excellent adhesion and environmental resistance.
Abstract:
A rubber-metal adhesive system which contains a primer component and an overcoat component. The primer component includes a polychloroprene compound, a phenolic resin, and a metal oxide while the overcoat component preferably contains a nitroso compound, a halogenated polyolefin, and a metal oxide or salt. When applied between a metal surface and a rubber substrate under heat and pressure, the adhesive system provides a flexible rubber-metal bond which will withstand high temperature fluid environments.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a self-adhesive coating for polypropylene foams. The coating is the chemical crosslinking product of 2-chlorobutadiene/methacrylic acid copolymer and a prepolymer of an aminoplastic or phenolic plastic containing methylol groups.
Abstract:
Chloroprene polymer-phenolic resin-metal oxide-solvent adhesives, which are non-phasing and which contain from about 4 to 6 parts by weight based on polymer of a rosin which must contain less than 2.16 parts by weight based on polymer of dehydroabietic acid, a constituent of rosin.
Abstract:
Superior polychloroprene adehsives are prepared by incorporating the reaction product of an alkali catalyzed alkyl phenol-formaldehyde resin and zinc resinate. Preferably an arylphenol and/or bisphenol A is also incorporated. Also preferably rosin is included in the composition. Other zinc compounds, e.g. zinc oxide, zinc borate, zinc phosphate, zinc carbonate, and zinc salicylate can be used in place of zinc resinate.
