摘要: Disclosed herein is a method for preparing rigid polyurethane foams, in which method (a) polyisocyanates are mixed with (b) compounds having at least two hydrogen atoms that are reactive with isocyanate groups, (c) optionally a flame retardant, (d) a blowing agent, (e) a catalyst, and (f) optionally auxiliary agents and additives, to form a reaction mixture and are cured to provide the rigid polyurethane foam. Further disclosed herein are a rigid polyurethane foam obtained by the method and a method of using the rigid polyurethane foam in the manufacture of sandwich elements.

A common logarithm of a ratio of a storage modulus of the modified polyurethane carrier substrate at −30° C. to a storage modulus of the modified polyurethane carrier substrate at 150° C. ranges from 0.40 to 1.30.

摘要: A flexible gastight material for a landfill site includes a component A and a component B, the component A including: at least one of polypropylene glycol with a molecular weight of 600-4000, polytetrahydrofuran diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, polycaprolactone diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000, and polycarbonate diol with a molecular weight of 1000-3000; and at least one of 2,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, 4,4′-diphenylmethane diisocyanate, toluene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The flexible gastight material for the landfill site provided in the present application has a micro-closed-cell foam structure. The closed-cell elastic structure of the flexible gastight material may block the volatilization of toxic and harmful odors, and may cut off the diffusion path of the odors by combining with gas treatment systems at the landfill site. The flexible gastight material has excellent water blocking and gas sealing performance.

摘要: A method of applying a coating composition to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator include the steps of providing the high transfer efficiency applicator comprising an array of nozzles wherein each nozzle defines a nozzle orifice having a diameter of from 0.00002 m to 0.0004, providing the coating composition, and applying the coating composition to the substrate through the nozzle orifice without atomization such that at least 99.9% of the applied coating composition contacts the substrate to form a coating layer having a wet thickness of at least 5 microns, wherein the coating composition includes a carrier, a binder, and a radar reflective pigment or a LiDAR reflective pigment. The coating composition has an Ohnesorge number (Oh) of from about 0.01 to about 12.6, a Reynolds number (Re) of from about 0.02 to about 6,200, and a Deborah number (De) of from greater than 0 to about 1730.

摘要: High solids curable film-forming compositions and coating kits are provided, comprising: (a) a polyisocyanate curing agent; and (b) a film-forming component comprising at least one of (i) a secondary-hydroxyl functional (meth)acrylic polyol having pendant ester functional groups and a weight average molecular weight of 4000 to 8000; and (ii) a reactive constituent comprising: (1) a polymeric polyol comprising a polyester polyol and/or an addition polymer that is different from (i); and (2) an organic medium comprising a hydrophobic and/or sterically hindered reactive diluent having hydroxyl functional groups. Alternatively, the film-forming component (b) comprises the secondary-hydroxyl functional (meth)acrylic polyol (i) and optionally at least one of (1) and (2) above. The (meth)acrylic polyol comprises 20 to 35 percent by weight residues of an epoxy functional ethylenically unsaturated monomer. Methods of improving appearance of an effect pigment-containing coating layer on a substrate are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing rigid polyisocyanurate foams, wherein (A) polyisocyanates are mixed with (B) compounds having isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms, (C) flame retardants, (D) blowing agents, (E) catalyst at an isocyanate index of at least 220 to afford a reaction mixture and cured to afford the rigid polyisocyanurate foam, wherein the component (B) comprises at least one aromatic polyester polyol (b1) and at least one polyether polyol (b2), the polyester polyol (b1) has an average total functionality of ≤3.0 and ≥1.7 and the polyether polyol (b2) has a hydroxyl number of 160-350 mg KOH/g and is produced by alkoxylation of a starter or starter mixture having an average total functionality ≤3.5 and ≥1.5, wherein as the alkylene oxide for producing polyether polyol (b2) at least 80%by weight of ethylene oxide is employed and comprises at least 90% primary hydroxyl end groups and wherein the mass ratio of the component (b1) to component (b2) is ≤3 and ≥1 and the blowing agent (D) comprises chemical and physical blowing agents, wherein the chemical blowing agent is selected from the group consisting of formic acid-water mixtures and formic acid. The present invention further relates to a rigid polyisocyanurate foam obtainable by the process according to the invention.
