Abstract: The present invention provides materials and methods for forming an interface between an appliance and living tissue using a foamed elastomeric material which contacts the tissue or similar surfaces. Abstract: A semi-closed circuit gas recycling scuba diving breathing apparatus having a breathing loop. The breathing loop has a breathing bag to be supplied by at least one gas tank and a recycling chamber. The gas tank is connected to an inlet of the breathing bag by a first duct and a second duct having respectively a demand regulator and a fixed nozzle configured to deliver respectively a first gas input and a second gas input to the breathing bag. Advantageously, the apparatus has a third duct having a gas flow regulator configured to deliver at a variable mass flow, a third gas input to the breathing bag, and a diving condition sensor, configured to measure a physiological parameter of the diver or the depth. The apparatus is advantageously configured to make the variable mass flow vary according to data of the sensor to optimise the consumption of gas.

Abstract: A nose equalizing device of an underwater mask is provided. The nose equalizing device includes two pouches, each having an opening and a bottom portion corresponding to the opening. Each of the bottom portions is preformed into a first shape having a plurality of continuous folding portions and is in a first position distal from a nose wing of a user. When two fingers of the user exert forces inwardly toward the bottom portions from the openings of the two pouches, respectively, each of the bottom portions is capable of being stretched and deformed into a second shape and being in a second position proximal to the respective nose wing of the user. When the exerted forces are released, each of the bottom portions is capable of automatically or by a reverse force outwards, returning to the first position and restoring to the first shape.

Abstract: A dive mask provides underwater images and includes: a transparent lens; a frame; a strap arrangement; a water-proof housing; a camera; and batteries. A first portion of the frame receives the transparent lens, and a second portion mounts to a wearer's face. The strap arrangement secures the frame to the wearer's head. The water-proof housing is secured within the frame, with a least a portion thereof being sealed against a portion of the transparent lens. The camera is positioned within the water proof enclosure, and include a shutter button that may be depressed to capture still images or video recordings. The batteries are positioned in the water-proof housing and power the camera. A water proof port permits recharging of the batteries. A waterproof pouch with a re-sealable waterproof closure is releasably secured to one strap using a lanyard, and stores the user's personal belongings while diving.
