Abstract: A machine tool for chip removal processing has an upright, a bench and a machining group. The upright has a prevailing extension along a vertical axis orthogonal to a base plane, a front side lying on a front upright plane and a rear side lying on a rear upright plane. The front and rear sides are connected to each other by a right side and a left side. The bench has a prevailing extension along a longitudinal axis and is suitable to be fixed to the base plane. The machining group, connected to the upright to be translatable along the vertical axis and an advancement axis, is suitable to perform chip removal operations on a workpiece. The upright has a front pair of vertical translation means and a rear pair of vertical translation means that adjust vertical translation of the machining group and keep the machining group orthogonal to the vertical axis.

Abstract: A system and method for making new dust collectors or modifying existing dust collectors includes a containment chamber underneath the bottom exit of a dust collector unit and an independent, unconnected debris container. A metal, plastic, or flexible material chute may be required to direct debris from the dust collector open bottom to the debris container. The containment chamber is equipped with a covered opening, e.g., door or hatch, of sufficient size to insert and remove the debris container. The system may be used with both positive and negative pressure systems. User benefits include lower handling costs and greater convenience in debris management. The system and method have wide application in woodworking operations, as well as, with other applications where particulate matter needs to be removed from an air stream.

Abstract: A power tool and a dust collection attachment have their respective batteries as power supplies and can continue operating when one of the batteries is depleted. A dust collection system for a power tool includes a power tool including a switch, a tool-body DC motor, a tool-body controller, and a tool-body battery, and a dust collection attachment attachable to the power tool and including a suction portion, a dust collector, a fan, a dust-collector DC motor, a dust-collector controller, and a dust-collector battery. When the dust collection attachment is attached to the power tool, the tool-body controller and the dust-collector controller are electrically connected to each other. The dust-collector controller uses the tool-body battery singly to supply power to the tool-body DC motor and the dust-collector DC motor or uses the dust-collector battery singly to supply power to the tool-body DC motor and the dust-collector DC motor.
