Abstract:
A method and system provide a backup push-to-talk (PTT) function for a transmitter in a stuck microphone condition. The method determines whether a stuck microphone condition exists in the transmitter, and if the stuck microphone condition exists, the method alerts a user that the stuck microphone condition exists. The method then enables a backup PTT interface for the transmitter such that a backup PTT button is available to the user to activate the backup PTT function. The method alerts the user when the backup PTT function is activated, and sends a message to a receiver after the backup PTT button is engaged by the user.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to routing of an emergency communication under fault conditions. Routing can be implemented in a packet-switching (PS) network that provides voice service. For a network node of the PS network, availability to route the emergency communication through a specific emergency service routing number (ESRN) can be determined and, in response to the network node being unavailable, administrative data associated with the ESRN can be accessed. In addition, an identifier associated with the administrative data can be updated (e.g., created or modified) with data indicative of the device that originated the emergency communication. The administrative data and the resulting identifier can be delivered to a second network node that can route the emergency communication to an emergency service network.
Abstract:
A system and method are presented for automatic communication distribution local assignment. An on-premises device, in a contact center environment using a cloud-based solution, communicates with the solution to determine if there is a service interruption. When an interruption is determined, the on-premises device steps in to perform local assignment of communications for the solution until communication has been restored with the cloud-based solution. The on-premises device comprises a module that monitors all ACD communication flows. The module may also manage the logic of when to intervene and how to assign communications in queue to available agents during outages.
Abstract:
In one implementation an apparatus is provided, comprising a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions that when executed by the processor cause the processor to access a pre-designed graphical user interface (GUI) framework, load into the GUI, first party and third party call controls, load into the GUI, representations of telephony objects, load into the GUI, at least one interactive link to one or more scripting tools, load into the GUI, a interactive user control panel, load into the GUI, a digital tone detector, display the GUI on a computing appliance monitor, and display current call state for one or more call connection types.
Abstract:
The invention herein is fallback function communications device comprised of a microprocessor, utilized to perform a predetermined operation and processing of a predetermined input signal and then output a corresponding signal, as well as a minimum of one relay circuit having an amplifier circuit and a relay. The terminal at the first side of the relay is connected to the telephone line tip/ring terminal, while the terminal at the second side of the relay is connected to the Public Services Telephone Network (PSTN) tip/ring terminal of the microprocessor. An off-hook detection circuit is connected to the PSTN tip/ring terminal and also connected to the ring detection terminal of the said microprocessor. A dummy load circuit is connected to the tip terminal and the ring terminal of the PSTN. As such, in the event of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) system failure, the present invention is capable of automatically switching to the PSTN and thereby maintain telephone system operation.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A VoIP routing method and system and a program storage device, readable by a machine, tangibly embodying a program of instructions executable by the machine to perform the VoIP routing method includes: receiving information as to whether a failure has occurred in VoIP gateways of VoIP system; and establishing a routing path by selecting a VoIP gateway where a failure has not occurred to bypass a VoIP gateway where a failure has occurred in accordance with the received information.
Abstract:
Supportably mounted by each chassis of a multi-chassis broadcast router are primary router matrix cards, redundant router matrix cards and clock-demanding input and output cards. A first master clock firesides on the primary router matrix card of a first chassis while a second master clock firesides on the redundant router matrix card of a second chassis. Each master clock is configured to provide a respective common clock signal to all of the input and output cards of the first and second chassis. Control logic determines whether the first master clock or the second master clock issues the common clock signal.
Abstract:
A radio base station is disclosed that monitors faults of radio communication modems based on the content of received frames that are received during call connection. The radio communication modems are mounted in units of prescribed number on signal converters of card structure and are assigned to correspond to mobile stations that perform call connections. The radio base station uses fault detection data to check the content of frames that are received during call connections for each radio communication modem, and counts the total number of received frames and the number of frames in which faults are detected. Upon termination of a call connection, the radio base station determines whether or not a fault has occurred in a radio communication modem based on the counted ratio of the number of frames in which faults are detected to the total number of received frames, and if a fault has occurred, attempts recovery control. If a radio communication modem does not recover, the radio base station deletes the radio communication modem as a candidate for next assignment. The radio base station further transmits, to maintenance personnel through the radio base station controller, a message prompting exchange of a signal conversion card in which the number of faulty radio communication modems reaches or exceeds a particular number.
Abstract:
An active partner and a passive partner communicate via a number of parallel data transmission paths by alternately exchanging messages. During the process, a number of the available data transmission paths are initialized and used simultaneously for exchanging messages during normal operation.
