Abstract:
A Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service system using Network Address Translation (NAT) and a method of processing a packet in the system. The method includes the steps of: looking up a private address of a terminal located behind a NAT device in a previously generated NAT table using port information included in a packet transferred from a terminal located outside the NAT device to the terminal located behind the NAT device; and when a packet is transferred from the terminal located behind the NAT device to the terminal located outside the NAT device, generating an IP conntrack having the private address of the terminal located behind the NAT device as an originating address and having a public address of the terminal located outside the NAT device as a destination address.

Abstract:
An apparatus and method for interconnecting a private exchange to the Internet. A card allocated with an intrinsic Ethernet address is included in a private exchange. The private exchange is allocated with an Internet protocol (IP) address corresponding to the Ethernet address from a maintenance administration personal computer to which the private exchange is connected via an Ethernet network. By this IP address, the private exchange is interconnected to the Internet. In accordance with the present invention, therefore, the private exchange utilizes both the public network and Internet by virtue of the IP address allocated thereto.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for operating an exchange in order to support Network Address Translation (NAT) traversal in a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system are provided. In the method, when a setup request signal is received from a calling Internet phone, first mapping of an IP address and a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) port of the calling Internet phone to first embedded Media Proxy Solution (eMPS) IP address and UDP port is performed. A setup request of the calling Internet phone including the first eMPS IP address and UDP port information is relayed to a called Internet phone. A response signal including an IP address and an UDP port of the called Internet phone is received from the called Internet phone in response to the setup request. Second mapping of the IP address and UDP port of the called Internet phone to second eMPS address and UDP port is performed. A response signal including the second eMPS IP address and UDP port information is relayed to the calling Internet phone in response to the setup request.
Abstract:
A method and system for routing a call in a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) gateway in which, when a caller tries making a VoIP call via a foreign exchange station (FXS), the VoIP gateway inserts a certain prefix into a relevant FXS port to allow a called gateway to identify a caller based on the prefix so that a foreign exchange office (FXO) port is allocated according to subscriber's priority.
Abstract:
A VoIP network includes an integrated Internet telephony system having an all-in-one architecture in which an application layer gateway function, a signaling processing function and a media processing function are integrated. The integrated Internet telephony system performs ALG processing on a packet bound to a first address and processes a signaling message bound to a second address so as to set up a call session between an external SIP terminal connected to a public network and an internal SIP terminal connected to a private network, and performs media processing on an RTP packet based on a third address, the RTP packet exchanged through the call session. A SIP signaling gateway function, a media gateway function and SIP-ALG function are installed in one chip, and respective functions are allocated with different IP addresses by the application of a virtual interface and aliasing IP addresses.
Abstract:
Apparatus and method for processing a stateful address auto-configuration protocol in an Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) network are provided. The method includes multicasting, at an IPv6 network, a Router Solicitation (RS) message, acquiring and managing flag values of a Router Advertisement (RA) message received from at least one router, and setting an operation mode of a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol-for-IPv6 (DHCPv6) client according to the flag values of the RA message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a groupcast to support a voice paging service in a VoIP system are provided. In the method, a voice paging message is received from a voice paging transmitting terminal and one or more voice paging messages are reproduced from the received voice paging message. A group table is used to change the destination address and port of each of the reproduced voice paging messages into the IP address and port of each of one or more voice paging receiving terminals. Each of the reproduced voice paging messages is unicast on the basis of the changed IP address and port.

Abstract:
A VoIP routing method and system and a program storage device, readable by a machine, tangibly embodying a program of instructions executable by the machine to perform the VoIP routing method includes: receiving information as to whether a failure has occurred in VoIP gateways of VoIP system; and establishing a routing path by selecting a VoIP gateway where a failure has not occurred to bypass a VoIP gateway where a failure has occurred in accordance with the received information.
