    摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for auto-discovery of port-to-port connectivity through correlative analysis on performance metrics. Statistical data corresponding to each port of routers and transport devices may be collected. The collected data may be processed such that missing data may be patched and time frames may be aligned. Statistical analysis may be performed on the collected data. Such statistical analysis may comprise generating a waveform based on the data and determining, e.g., correlations in the data. If the analyzed data of one port matches analyzed data of another port, the two ports may be determined to be connected to one another. A match may be based on meeting various criteria and/or thresholds.

    摘要: A method of allowing a data connection between a first node attached to a private IP network and a second node external to the private IP network and connected to a public IP network. The method comprises allocating a private network IP address, a hostname, and a service name to said first node, the service name associated with a service provided by the first node. A gateway allocates a unique public network side port number to the first node. A mapping between the private network IP address and public network side port is included in a connection table. Records are installed in a Domain Name System of the public IP network that include: a service record defining said hostname and public network side port number as the location for said service name; and an address record defining a public IP address of said gateway as the location for said hostname.

    摘要: In one embodiment, two way communication between an IP phone behind a firewall and an IP phone behind a translation device is established. A network security device receives a remote packet from the translation device. The header of the remote packet includes the address of the translation device, and a payload of the remote packet includes an embedded remote address and the media port of the IP phone behind the translation device. A memory stores the media port matched with the address of the translation device. When the network security device receives a local packet from the IP phone behind the firewall destined for the IP phone behind the translation device, a controller rewrites the destination port of the local packet with the media port.

    摘要: A method of enabling an electronic privately addressable source to be publicly addressable starts at a receiver where an electronic message is received. It is communicated from a sender with a private address outside a subnet of the receiver through a translator. The translator retrieves a lease to at least one of a public address or a port from a lease manager, translates the private address and the private port into a public address and a public port and communicates identifying data such as the public address and the public port to the receiver. If a response is communicated to the private sender, the response may be communicated to the private sender through the network. The public address and the public port on the message may be translated to the private address and the port of the private sender and the private address and the private port may be used to properly route the response to the private sender.

A device service manager server (DSM) may have an IP redirector module configured to cooperate with two or more device service controllers (DSCs) that are behind a firewall on a wide area network relative to a location of the DSM on the wide area network, where the DSM serves as a central management station for a distribution of initial configuration information to the DSCs, wherein an executable boot up file uploaded via a drive port in that DSC is scripted to gather configuration information for that DSC and network devices on the same network as that DSC and without a prompt by the DSM then sends configuration files to the DSM which makes a master copy of the device configuration file in the DSM's registry for that DSC.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for network port and network address translation. Several problems with limited addressability may occur when transmitting data packets between a terminal in a first network and a terminal in a second network that is outside the first network. Data forwarding rules are used to define if and how identifiers of data packets to be forwarded between the two networks correlate with each other. According to embodiments, a data forwarding rule includes a first identifier associated with the first network and a second identifier associated with the second network, wherein each identifier has two parts: a source address and source port number corresponding to a source network node, and a destination address and destination port number corresponding to a destination network node.

A connection is established between the first device and a gateway in the second local network, and the first device creates a port mapping in the gateway for the media server. The first device creates a URL including the created port mapping and a reference to media content stored in the media server and sends the created URL to the media renderer. The media renderer is able to pull the media content from the media server using that URL.
