摘要: A system that facilitates sharing of multimedia content includes a user interface, network circuitry; and one or more processors. The processors perform operations that include displaying, via the user interface, a list of one or more media playback devices available to be added to a social networking group. A selection of first and second media playback devices to be associated with a particular social networking group is received via the user interface. The first media playback device is associated with a first playback queue that specifies a first set of media items associated with first media content that can be streamed from a first streaming service to the first media playback device. An indication to the social networking system that specifies the selection of the first and second media playback devices to be associated with the group is communicated via the network circuitry. In response, the social networking system communicates second media content items associated with the first media content items to a second playback queue associated with the second media playback device. The second playback items facilitate streaming of second media content associated with the first media content from a second streaming service to the second media playback device.

摘要: Content(s) of nearby device(s) acting as server(s) is presented to be interfaced with at a device acting as a client over a peer-to-peer direct wireless network. Any of the devices can act as a client, a server, or both, concurrently. Once connected, the client device can retrieve, present, interact and operate on the contents of the servers. The content(s) may be presented in the form of an interactive document, a filesystem volume, and/or an API, different from the original structure in which the content(s) are stored at each server. The client directly interacts and operates on the content(s) of the server(s) according to the client-side presentation. The types of interactions the client may perform can vary by presentation, but generally include viewing, browsing, streaming, downloading, uploading, editing, deleting, tagging, liking, commenting and the like.

摘要: Techniques are provided for a peer-to-peer web traffic management. A first mapping between identifiers and peers in a network is established. Upon receiving a first request associated with a first identifier and classifiers, based, at least in part, on the first identifier, a first peer retrieves a first global counter snapshot and a first local increment counter, and uses them to determine whether the first peer can service the first request. If the determination is positive, then the first peer services the first request, and updates the first local increment counter. If the first local increment counter exceeded a threshold value, then the first local increment counter is transmitted to a second peer, and then reset to zero. In response to the first peer receiving a first global counter associated with the first global counter snapshot, the first global counter snapshot is updated with the first global counter.

摘要: A method, device, and system for selecting one or more devices and users to capture and share images of an event with other users includes establishing one or more ad-hoc groups with a resource management server. The resource management server communicates with one or more computing devices over a network to assign the computing devices to an ad-hoc group as a function of one or more users requesting to receive images captured at an event. For each ad-hoc group, the resource management server selects a device and a user to capture images of the event, which are distributed to the one or more users. Additionally, the computing devices may establish an ad-hoc group without the resource management server. A computing device of the ad-hoc group is selected to capture images of the event, which are distributed to users of the ad-hoc group through an ad-hoc network.
