摘要: A vehicle battery safety sensor system providing liquid detection inside a battery pack includes a battery pack having a structure defining a battery cell bay receiving a battery. A first sensor is mounted to the structure proximate to a low point area of the battery cell bay for sensing an operating condition within the low point area of the battery cell bay. A second sensor is mounted to the structure elevated above the first sensor for sensing an operating condition above the low point area of the battery cell bay. A safety module processes signals received from the first sensor and the second sensor and identifies if the operating condition within the low point area of the battery cell bay defines a fluid present in the low point area of the battery cell bay.

摘要: A circuit to protect a USB connector from corrosion on its CC pins includes a first node coupled to a first power source or a first pull-down resistor, a second node coupled to the CC pins and a second power source, and a second pull-down resister coupled to the second node. A detection circuit compares the voltage at the first node with a first reference voltage. The detection circuit also compares the voltage at the second node with second and third reference voltages. A control logic circuit generates a corrosion detection signal in response to the voltage at the second node being less than the third reference voltage and greater than the second reference voltage when the voltage at the first node is greater than the first reference voltage.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses for detecting when an electronic device, preferably a portable electronic device (PED) in some embodiments, has been exposed to moisture, and inhibiting the flow of electrical power to the electronic device when the moisture is too high or increasing too fast are disclosed. Embodiments sample air within the device, measure the moisture in the sampled air, inhibit the connection of electrical power to the device if the moisture exceeds a threshold, and permit the connection of electrical power to the device if the moisture is below a threshold. Some embodiments measure the moisture in the ambient air to improve effectiveness. Other embodiments allow resetting of a tripped condition. Other embodiments include constant sampling of air from within the device to assist drying, and inhibiting application of power to the device until the device is sufficiently dry. Still other embodiments interrupt power from the battery within the device.

摘要: A rapid pressure rise detection and management system that detects internal pressure changes in a transformer. The rapid pressure rise detection and management system communicates with one or more pressure sensors attached to a tank of the transformer and measures the rate of pressure change versus time. The rapid pressure rise detection and management system then compares this rate of pressure change against a set of parameters to determine if this pressure change is an internal fault requiring the transformer to be taken offline or external fault to be ignored. This rapid pressure rise detection and management system may be a standalone device or work with other monitoring/controlling equipment to expand its sensing and management capabilities.

摘要: A terminal protection method that is applied to a terminal is provided. In the method, an air pressure change value collected by an air pressure sensor is obtained; the air pressure change value is compared with a preset air pressure change threshold; and when the air pressure change value exceeds the preset air pressure change threshold, a break instruction is generated, where the break instruction is used to break a power supply circuit of a mainboard circuit of the terminal. According to the terminal protection method provided in the present invention, the power supply circuit of the mainboard circuit of the terminal can be timely broken when the terminal falls into water, thereby solving a problem of a short circuit that occurs on the mainboard circuit of the terminal after the terminal falls into water.
