摘要: A detection device detects a dynamic quantity exerted on a detection mechanical system including first and second mechanical oscillators. The detection device includes first to third transducers, a canceller, a low-pass filter, and an inverting amplification unit. The first transducer detects the first mechanical oscillator position in a first direction to output a first signal. The second transducer detects the second mechanical oscillator position in a second direction to output a second signal. The canceller inverts a direction in which a signal detected by the second transducer from the second mechanical oscillator varies according to the first signal. The third transducer detects the second mechanical oscillator position in the second direction to output a third signal. The inverting amplification unit gives a control signal generated by inverting the third signal to a second actuator moving the second mechanical oscillator.

摘要: A method includes receiving a signal from a sensor. The signal includes a first in-phase component and a first quadrature component. The first in-phase and quadrature components are identified. A rate signal is applied to the sensor and the sensor generates a sensed rate signal. A second in-phase and quadrature components associated with the sensed rate signal are determined. A phase error based on the first and the second in-phase components, and the first and the second quadrature components is determined. The method may further include reducing error in measurements associated with the sensor by dynamically compensating for the determined phase error, e.g., by modifying a clock signal, by changing a demodulation phase of a demodulator used to identify the in-phase and the quadrature components.

摘要: A motion sensor includes a sensor element that outputs a sense signal in response to a motion applied thereto and a sensor circuit that senses the motion based on the sense signal. The sensor circuit includes a sensor-element-signal amplifier that receives the sense signal. The sensor-element-signal amplifier operates switchably between at a normal mode and at a low-noise mode that consumes a larger electric power and produces a smaller noise than the normal mode. This motion sensor senses a small motion and a large motion accurately.

摘要: A physical quantity detecting device includes a vibrating element and a charge amplifier. The vibrating element includes a first detection electrode, a second detection electrode, a third detection electrode, and a fourth detection electrode. The first and fourth detection electrodes have the same electrical polarity, the second and third detection electrodes have the same electrical polarity, and the first and second detection electrodes have opposite electrical polarities. The first and fourth detection electrodes are connected to the charge amplifier, and the second and third detection electrodes are connected to the charge amplifier.
