    摘要: A thermal-energy exchange and storage system has a borefield with a core zone and at least one capacity expansion zone. Each of the core zone and the at least one capacity expansion zone have a plurality of boreholes. The at least one capacity expansion zone is positioned outwards from and encircling the core zone and each additional capacity expansion zone is positioned outwards from and encircling the previous capacity expansion zone. A heat source is provided in fluid communication with a heat exchanger. An injection system circulates an operating fluid. The injection system has at least one U-tube installed within the plurality of boreholes and operating fluid is circulated between the at least one U-tube and the heat exchanger for transferring heat from the heat source. An extraction system is provided for extracting heat stored in the system for use in an infrastructure.

    摘要: Heat transfer devices, electronic devices, and methods for heat transfer with an external body. Heat transfer devices include a first disc, a second disc positioned adjacent to the first disc, and at least one spacer positioned between the first disc and the second disc. The first disc defines an aperture and comprises a pin cooling structure extending from around the aperture. The pin cooling structure comprises a distal end configured to facilitate heat exchange between the pin cooling structure and an external/adjacent/separate body and one or more side walls. At least one of the one or more side walls, the distal end, and the aperture at least partially define a pin volume. The second disc defines an inlet that is configured to (i) receive a fluid, and (ii) allow the fluid to flow from the inlet and into the pin volume.

A thermoelectric module is disposed between the first impeller body and the second impeller body.     摘要: A plate heat exchanger includes a frame, a set of plates disposed in the frame between a head and a follower, and a closure unit. The closure unit includes a drive mechanism and a power unit. The drive mechanism is configured to urge the follower to move towards the head to compress the set of plates and configured to urge the follower to move away from the head to release the set of plates. The power unit is configured to selectably connect to and disconnect from the drive mechanism and to provide power to the drive mechanism. The power unit is configured to compress the set of plates in response to a controller receiving a close command.
