摘要: Provided is a stationary nozzle assembly of a gas turbine including a plurality of vane segments converting hot gas energy into a kinetic form, a fixed seal disposed between two adjacent vane segments, and honeycomb seal elements disposed between the two adjacent vane segments to prevent hot gases from escaping through a gap between the two adjacent vane segments. Here, the fixed seal and the honeycomb seal elements face each other. In addition, the vane segments each include airfoil shaped vanes, an outer wall and an inner wall that are disposed at opposite sides of the airfoil shaped vanes, and the fixed seal and the honeycomb seal elements are installed in at least one of the outer wall or the inner wall.

摘要: A process gas compressor/gas turbine section including a process gas compressor and a gas turbine which is coupled to the shaft of the process gas compressor in order to drive said compressor is provided. The process gas compressor is designed to compress combustible process gas and is equipped to seal the process gas compressor inner chamber from the atmosphere using a shaft seal which can be sealed with a seal gas and which has at least one leakage line. The leakage line can conduct leakage gas away from the shaft seal and is connected to the air inlet of the gas turbine such that the leakage gas together with the inlet air at the air inlet can be conducted into the gas turbine during the operation of the process gas compressor/gas turbine section.

摘要: A method for shortening the start-up process of a steam turbine is provided which has a turbine housing and turbine components which are provided inside the turbine housing. The turbine components during operation come into contact with hot steam which flows through the turbine housing and include a turbine shaft which passes axially through the turbine housing. Sealing regions, which during operation of the steam turbine are acted upon by seal steam, are formed between the turbine shaft and the turbine housing. Thermal energy is fed to the steam turbine during a shutdown of said steam turbine, wherein seal steam is fed to the interior of the turbine housing during the shutdown of the steam turbine in order to heat and/or to keep warm the turbine components which are provided in the interior of the turbine housing.

摘要: A system configured to precisely control and/or modulate purge flow in a power plant system (e.g., a gas turbine) during operation is disclosed. In one embodiment, a system includes: at least one computing device adapted to control a purge flow in a gas turbine by performing actions comprising: obtaining operational data from the gas turbine; determining an inferred gas path pressure value for the gas turbine; determining an allowable purge flow for the gas turbine as a function of the operational data and the inferred gas path pressure value; and adjusting the purge flow based upon the allowable purge flow determination.

摘要: The present invention relates to a sealing device that is configured to form a seal around a pipe by use of an air flow in order to prevent a fluid from passing the sealing device. The sealing device includes an air inlet for the inflow of compressed air and configured to be connected to a source of compressed air; one or more channels connected to the air inlet, the channels extending along a substantially annular trajectory and configured to—in use—extend substantially around the pipe; a plurality of outlet points or an annular outlet groove connected to the one or more channels, the outlet points being configured to blow the compressed air in the region of the pipe wall, in order to create an air flow about the pipe in order to prevent a fluid from passing the sealing device.

摘要: A compliant seal for use between rotating blades and a static shroud surrounding the rotating blades in a steam or gas turbine is disclosed. The seal includes a tip surface, substantially resistant to wear due to rubbing by the tip of the rotating blades, and an elastic biasing member, comprising a biasing element. The wear-resistant surface is thus biased against the tips of the rotating blades to seal a gas path between the rotating blades and the static shroud.
