Abstract: An optically clear, high strength, high modulus, and high thermal conductivity polyethylene thin film may be formed from a crystallizable polymer and an additive configured to interact with the crystallizable polymer to facilitate crystallite alignment and, in some examples, create a higher crystalline content within the polyethylene thin film. The polyethylene thin film may be characterized by a bimodal molecular weight distribution where the molecular weight of the additive may be less than approximately 5% of the molecular weight of the crystallizable polymer. Example crystallizable polymers may include high molecular weight polyethylene, high density polyethylene, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. Example additives may include low molecular weight polyethylene and polyethylene oligomers. The polyethylene thin film may be characterized by a Young's modulus of at least approximately 10 GPa, a tensile strength of at least approximately 0.7 GPa, and a thermal conductivity of at least approximately 5 W/mK.

The composition may comprise: from about 10 or 50 to about 95 percent by weight of the one or more polycarbonates; from about 0.5 or about 10 to about 50 or about 90 percent by weight of the one or more vinylidene aromatic substituted monomers; and from about 0.005 percent to about 0.050 percent by weight of the buffer system; wherein weight is based on the total weight of the composition. The buffer system may be present in an amount from about 0.010 percent to about 0.040 percent by weight.

The NBR composition has improved ozone resistance using stearic acid and paraffin wax, which are generally compounded in NBR compositions, while neither affecting the material physical properties or product appearance, nor increasing the compounding amount of an ozone resistant antioxidant.

Abstract: A resin composition can includes a first isocyanurate component and a first bonding component bonded to the first isocyanurate component. The first bonding component can be configured to bond to the second bonding component based upon an application of an initiator to the resin composition. In this way, the first isocyanurate component can be coupled to the second isocyanurate component. The resin composition can be either in a pre-cured state in which the first isocyanurate component is not coupled to the second isocyanurate component or in a post-cured state in which at least a portion of the first isocyanurate component is coupled to at least a portion of the second isocyanurate component.

Abstract: The present invention provides a polyamide composition comprising (a) at least one polyamide mixture formed from (i) at least one polyamide 6,6, the amount of amine end groups (AEG) being greater than the amount of carboxylic acid end groups (CEG); and (ii) at least one high chain-length polyamide; (b) at least one reinforcing filler; (c) at least one heat stabilizer; (d) aluminum stearate; and optionally (e) at least one additive. The polyamide composition can be advantageously used to produce articles exhibiting enhanced chemical resistance, notably CaCl2 salt crack resistance, such as radiator end tank in an automobile.
