摘要: Adaptable manufacturing systems, methods, and apparatuses are disclosed. An apparatus for manufacturing a product in accordance with the present disclosure may include a design apparatus, an assembly apparatus, and a control apparatus, coupled to the design apparatus and the assembly apparatus. The control apparatus receives input information from the design apparatus and the assembly apparatus. The control apparatus provides output information for altering at least one parameter used by at least one of the design apparatus and the assembly apparatus in the manufacture of the product.

摘要: This disclosure describes various methods and apparatus for characterizing an additive manufacturing process. A method for characterizing the additive manufacturing process can include generating scans of an energy source across a build plane; measuring an amount of energy radiated from the build plane during each of the scans using an optical sensor; determining an area of the build plane traversed during the scans; determining a thermal energy density for the area of the build plane traversed by the scans based upon the amount of energy radiated and the area of the build plane traversed by the scans; mapping the thermal energy density to one or more location of the build plane; determining that the thermal energy density is characterized by a density outside a range of density values; and thereafter, adjusting subsequent scans of the energy source across or proximate the one or more locations of the build plane.

摘要: The present aspects include an additive manufacturing (AM) system, comprising: a plurality of stations arranged proximate to one another. The plurality of stations includes at least: a first station and a second station; a first AM subsystem configured to dock at the first station and perform a first subsystem AM process; a second AM subsystem configured to dock at the second station and perform a second subsystem AM process; and a third AM subsystem configured to move between the first station and the second station. The AM system further includes a controller configured to control the third AM subsystem to perform an third subsystem AM process at the first station while the first AM subsystem is docked, to move the third AM subsystem from the first station to the second station, and to perform the third subsystem AM process at the second station while the second AM subsystem is docked.

Additionally, the systems and methods herein include a directed acoustic energy exciter (DAEE) configured to generate an acoustic energy. A controller can be configured to direct the laser beam at a first location to melt the material into a melt pool to form a portion of a build piece and configured to direct the DAEE to transmit the acoustic energy to the first location.

The heat exchange member is configured to receive a first fluid at a first temperature at the first input port and to output the first fluid at a second lower temperature at the first output port. The heat exchange member is additionally configured to receive a second fluid at a third temperature at the second input port and to output the second fluid at a fourth higher temperature at the second output port.

The at least one adhesive is configured to cure at a first rate upon exposure to one of time or heating, and the at least one adhesive is configured to cure at a second rate faster than the first rate upon exposure to the EM radiation.
