Abstract:
Flame retardant treating agents according to the invention comprise a phosphorus-based compound represented by the following formula (4): Flame retardant treated fibers can be obtained by immersion of polyester fiber woven fabrics and the like in a treatment solution containing the flame retardant treating agents and accomplishing heat treatment at a prescribed temperature. It is thereby possible to impart adequate flame retardance to polymer materials such as fibers and thermoplastic polymers even when used in small amounts, and provide flame retardant treating agents that contain no halogen compounds.
Abstract:
Phosphoramidates of triazoles, such as 1,2,4 triazoles, effective as load-carrying agents, corrosion inhibitors, antioxidants increase the stability of lubricant compositions.
Abstract:
New compounds are disclosed of the formula:
WHEREIN R'' is phenyl, lower alkenyl and halogen substituted and unsubstituted lower alkyl of 1-6 carbon atoms, m is an integer from 1-2 wherein when m is 2, R is alkoxy of 1-8 carbon atoms and when m is 1, R is alkylene dioxy of 2-8 carbon atoms. The compounds of this invention are useful as flame retardant agents for textile materials and in the production of polymers and copolymers which possess flame retardant properties.
Abstract:
Polymers containing flame retardant amounts of addition products of alkylhalogen-free esters of (1a) phosphorus acids, (1b) carboxylic acids, or (1c) sulfonic acids and (2) a bicyclic phosphite (1-alkyl-4-phospha-3,5,8-trioxabicyclo-(2,2,2)-octane), said addition products having the following group;
WHERE R is lower alkyl C1-C4), preferably C1-C2, an hydroxyalkyl (C1-C4), preferably C2-C3; the addition products of (1a) or (1b) and (2); and preparation of the addition products by heating a mixture of (1a) or (1b) and (2) to an elevated temperature (e.g., 175*-300*C.).
