    Abstract: A saddle having a laser projection direction-indicating device is provided. The laser projection direction-indicating device has a module housing mounted to a saddle body. A left laser element is disposed in a left laser projection port of the module housing; a right laser element is disposed in a right laser projection port of the module housing. A control unit is connected with the left laser element and the right laser element. A direction signal generation unit is connected with the control unit and generates a left turn signal or a right turn signal to the control unit. The laser projection direction-indicating device responds to the left turn signal or the right turn signal generated by the direction signal generation unit to have the control unit drive the left laser element or the right laser element to generate a laser projection pattern.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for collecting electric scooters are described herein. In some embodiments, the systems and methods facilitate a “snaking” configuration of attaching, coupling, or fixing multiple electric scooters to one another. The snaking configuration enables multiple electric scooters to be collected together and moved to various locations, such as locations where the electric scooters can be rented, serviced, and so on. Further, the systems and methods enable any electric scooter to act as a collecting scooter, and thus a scooter share service or other fleet of scooters can manage the collection and provisioning of scooters in a location without special vehicles or equipment, among other benefits.

    Abstract: An approach is provided for determining vehicle maneuver events. The approach, for example, involves determining sensor data from a sensor of a device associated with a vehicle. The sensor data includes a maneuver parameter represented using a device frame of reference. The approach also involves transforming the maneuver parameter from the device frame of reference to an Earth frame of reference. The approach further involves automatically detecting a maneuver event of the vehicle based on the maneuver parameter as transformed to the Earth frame of reference. The approach further involves providing the detected maneuver event to a signaling unit associated with the vehicle.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for illuminating an electric scooter are described. The systems and methods generate randomized patterns of lights based on movement of the electric scooter, such as in response to vibrations or other forces applied to the electric scooter as it travels through an environment. For example, the systems and methods can receive movement data from one or more vibration sensors of the electric scooter, generate a continuous wave pattern based on the movement data, and cause lighting devices (e.g., addressable LEDs (light emitting diodes)) to emit light in response to the continuous wave pattern. The resulting light, in some cases, is an ever-changing pattern of light and intensity.
