    Abstract: An axle assembly for a bicycle includes an axle having an inner wall extending along a length of the axle between a first end and a second end of the axle. The inner wall at least partially defines a first volume and a second volume within the axle. The first volume has a first diameter, and the second volume has a second diameter that is greater than the first diameter. The first volume is closer than the second volume to the first end of the axle. The axle assembly also includes a sensor attached to the inner wall of the axle within the second volume of the axle.

    Abstract: Bicycles and automobiles share the roads and it is imperative that a collision between a car and a bicycle be avoided. A warning system that can be placed on the back of a bicycle that extends upward to alert the general traffic in the area. The top portion of the pole will be equipped with a flag or other warning device and will also be illuminated for greater visibility. The warning system can also be extended outward to alert oncoming traffic to a bicycle in the area. When the arm is extended outward it can also rotate backwards if the warning device is struck by an obstacle.

    Abstract: A protective warning system for a vehicle is provided. A device comprises: a long-range camera and a stereoscopic camera positioned in a housing to image external objects in a rear-facing direction when the housing is mounted to a vehicle. A controller detects, using images from the long-range camera, an external object in the rear-facing direction and processes stereoscopic images from the stereoscopic camera to determine when the external object is located within a first zone or a second zone extending in the rear-facing direction, the second zone being closer to the stereoscopic camera than the first zone. In response to determining that the external object is located within the first zone or the second zone, the controller controls the one or more notification devices to provide one or more first or second notifications associated with a first or second urgency level.

    Abstract: A vehicle projection control device includes: an occupant detection unit configured to detect an occupant on a vehicle; a traveling information acquisition unit configured to acquire traveling information of the vehicle and information indicating that the vehicle is traveling; a projection control unit configured to, when the occupant detection unit has detected the occupant and the traveling information acquisition unit has acquired the information indicating that the vehicle is traveling, cause a projection unit to project the acquired traveling information, the projection unit being configured to project a video in a direction corresponding to a body of the occupant on the vehicle; and a head detection unit configured to detect a head of the occupant on the vehicle in a projection direction of the projection unit. The projection control unit is configured to change a projection location of the acquired traveling information based on a location of the detected head.
