    摘要: A valve arrangement is inserted between a master brake cylinder and a reservoir in a housing of an electrohydraulic motor vehicle brake system which can be activated both by a vehicle driver and independently of the vehicle driver. The valve arrangement can be acted on by a volume flow which can be conveyed by a linear actuator in the direction of a pedal travel simulator, the working chamber of the pedal travel simulator being connected to the master brake cylinder, wherein, for the purpose of simplified construction and actuation, the valve arrangement has a hydraulically actuable non-return valve and a fixed diaphragm arranged parallel to the non-return valve. The non-return valve is arranged together with the fixed diaphragm in a valve carrier which is fastened to a closure plug which closes the housing of the motor vehicle brake system.

The master cylinder 4 and the stroke simulator 5 are integrally arranged to overlap each other in a perpendicular direction (as viewed from the perpendicular direction) when installed in the vehicle.

    摘要: In a cup seal of the present invention, an inner lip (27b) is pressed into close contact with a piston (9) and an outer lip (27c) is pressed into close contact with a bottom wall (26a) of a concavity (26) by fluid pressure developed in a fluid pressure chamber (11) when the piston (9) moves forward. Therefore, fluid pressure is sealed. When the piston (9) is retracted, the outer lip (27c) is deflected inwardly and is thus spaced apart from the bottom wall (26a) of the concavity (26). Hydraulic fluid of a reservoir is supplied to the fluid pressure chamber (11) through a first communication path (22), grooves (27e), and the space between the outer lip (27c) and the bottom wall (26a). As mentioned above, the inner lip (27b) has only the sealing function, while the outer lip (27c) has both the sealing function and the pumping function and ensures sufficient fluid supply by the grooves.

    摘要: The invented apparatus is designed for use with a tow vehicle and trailer combination. The apparatus comprises a controller, a vacuum supply sensor, and a sensor unit used to measure the barometric pressure and/or elevation of the current location of the tow vehicle/trailer combination. Using information from the sensor unit, the controller determines a vacuum pump activation level and/or deactivation level appropriate for the ambient pressure in which the apparatus is operating. By monitoring the signal supplied by the vacuum supply sensor and by operating a vacuum pump switch signal, the controller maintains a supply of vacuum between the activation and deactivation levels. In this manner, the controller can compensate for changes in local conditions so as to operate the vacuum pump in an efficient manner while maintaining an adequate supply of vacuum for operation of the trailer brake system.

    摘要: A master cylinder having a body with a bore therein delimited by a piston into a work chamber and a supply chamber. The work chamber (16) is connected to wheel brakes, while the supply chamber is connected to a fluid supply, through a supply duct. The piston has a shank retained by a guide ring mounted in the bore and a head bears against a thrust ring in a rest position. A first end of the supply duct is connected to the fluid supply, while a end is connected to the supply chamber. A hydraulic damping arrangement that dampens movement of the piston toward the thrust ring and includes structure for shutting off the second end of the supply duct such that brake fluid flows at a reduced flow rate from the supply chamber to the supply duct through at least one exhaust duct.
