The method may include supplanting a decreasing amount of a first electric energy supplied by the off-board source of power to the electric drive system with an amount of a second electric energy supplied by an onboard source of power to the electric drive system responsive to the detection of the disconnect from the off-board source of power.

摘要: The invention relates to an offshore wireless power transfer system for water vessels at least partially electrically driven comprising a primary interface coupled with a power source and a secondary interface coupled with the water vessel, the interfaces providing unidirectional or bidirectional power transfer which can be inductive, capacitive, and/or magnetodynamic. The primary interface can have connected power transfer sections which can be switchable. Inductive system can include inductive loops, capacitive system can include capacitive plates and magnetodynamic can include magnetic elements and loops. The system can be thermally managed. The interfaces can be buoyant or nonbuoyant, level adjustable. The power transfer can take place at about/under/above water level. The secondary interface can be mobile or coupled with a mobile device. The intefaces can include electrocomponents. The system can provide data transmissions, and be provided in a cloud-based communication system, a hydrogen powering system and a modular system.

摘要: Methods and systems for precision charging control of an untethered vehicle include at least a wireless charging antenna carried by a vehicle and in electrical communication with a vehicle propulsion system. A plurality of wireless charging antennae is positioned on or within a roadway and are in communication with at least a roadway control system and a power source. An authentication connection is established between the vehicle wireless charging antenna and the roadway control system. A dynamic seek operation is triggered between the first wireless charging antenna and the one of the plurality of second wireless charging antennae to pair the first wireless charging antenna with the one of the plurality of second wireless charging antennae. A quantity of electrical energy is transferred between the first wireless charging antenna and the one of the plurality of second wireless charging antennae.

摘要: A contactless power feed system includes a first ground power feed device and a second ground power feed device for performing contactless power feed to a moving body. The first ground power feed device transmits a passing signal to the second ground power feed device when entry of the moving body to a first power feed section is confirmed. The second ground power feed device transmits a power feed stop signal to the first ground power feed device when confirmation of entry or approach of the moving body to a second power feed section is not possible even after a predetermined time has elapsed after receiving the passing signal.

摘要: A control system can include a controller that may obtain a location of a phase break along a route. The controller can monitor locations of a vehicle and determine when the vehicle will reach the phase break location. The system also may include a switch proximate to a collector device of the vehicle and/or an actuator that moves the collector device relative to a conductive pathway. The conductive pathway may operate to supply electrical power to the vehicle. The controller can actuate a switch, an actuator, or both the switch and the actuator, and (upon activation) can change a source of power for one or more loads for propulsion of the vehicle through the location of the phase break along the route.

摘要: A method for a dynamic inductive wireless power transmission includes providing an AC/DC power converter that receives three-phase power and provides regulated DC output current, connecting a trunk cable to the AC/DC power converter output and to multiple power transmitter modules. The trunk cable connects inputs of the power transmitter modules in series. The power transmitter modules transmit inductive wireless power over an air gap. The method includes providing a system controller that detects a vehicle containing a receiver coil and confirms if the vehicle should receive the inductive wireless power from the multiple power transmitter modules, and includes configuring the system controller to communicate with the AC/DC power converter to maintain the regulated DC output current at a constant value and transmit the inductive wireless power to the vehicle through the multiple power transmitter modules when the vehicle should receive the inductive wireless power.

摘要: A mining haul truck driven by electrical wheel motors is operated with all electrical power sources; that is, without a diesel engine. While travelling on the loading site, the mining haul truck is powered by an on-board energy storage system, which may include a bank of ultracapacitors. The mining haul truck then moves to the bottom of a trolley ramp and is coupled to trolley lines. While travelling uphill, the mining haul truck is powered by the trolley lines, and the on-board energy storage system is charged by the trolley lines. When the mining haul truck reaches the top of the trolley ramp, the mining haul truck is uncoupled from the trolley lines. While travelling on the unloading site, the mining haul truck is powered by the on-board energy storage system. The on-board energy storage system may also be charged by retard energy generated by the wheel motors during braking.
