    摘要: The invention concerns an apparatus for welding the tubular sections of sacks, bags or the like, having a rotating drum and with welding stations arranged on the periphery of the drum which rotate, fixed in position, with the drum, wherein the welding stations are arranged laterally each on one end side of the drum. To ensure a crease-free processing of the tubular sections to be welded, grippers that can be caused to open and close are arranged on the drum in individual welding stations, for the seizing, holding and release of the tubular sections. A movable welding jaw of the welding station forms a flat bearing surface for the zone of the tubular section to be welded, while the drum itself, has a cylindrical peripheral surface.

    摘要: The disclosure relates to a side weld plastic bag manufacturing machine. The machine having a pair of drive rollers adapted to drive folded plastic toward a heat seal roller and a heat seal bar which is continuously rotated to engage the folded plastic and to seal at spaced positions. Means is provided to operate the heat seal bar and the heat seal roller at a rate common to that of the drive rollers, and further means is provided for quickly rotationally advancing the heat seal bar and the seal roller at a higher rotational rate than the drive rollers to separate the plastic at its welded portion from the surface of the heat seal roller while held between the drive rollers. The mechanism used to accomplish the common rate driving and the higher rate driving of the seal roller and heat seal bar comprising an overrunning clutch and lost motion mechanism coupled to the sealer roller and an arm coupled to the heat seal bar adapted to operate the overrunning clutch to coordinate and advance the sealing roller at a higher rate when the heat seal bar is operated at a higher rate by intermittently operable clutch means and a variable ratio gear train mechanism.

    摘要: A system and method for constructing sealed printed packages and one-piece mailers provides fixedly applying printing toner to predetermined locations upon a first part of a face of a printable sheet. The sheet is then folded so that a second part of the face overlies the first part which includes the locations having the toner thereon. The toner is then sealed so that the first and second parts are joined together. The toner may comprise a heat activated xerographic powdered toner. The second part of the face may include toner at locations that overlap the toner upon the first part and sealing may involve preheating of the toner prior to folding and then applying additional heat and pressure to the toner by means, for example, of rollers subsequent to folding. The sheet may then be cooled.

    摘要: A carryall handbag and mat formed of a single blank of foldable sheet material, one end being reversely folded onto an intermediate portion of the blank to define a reversely folded portion and an extended portion. A plurality of seams secures the reversely folded portion to define a pocket. In one form of the invention, an endless handle is connected to one edge of the folded blank, over which the blank, when folded, can be draped to define a handbag, and which blank can be readily unfolded to define a mat. In another form, the blank is folded so that the defined pocket can be turned inside out with the extended portion being disposed folded within the pocket.
