Abstract:
The invention relates to a workpiece stop, a signal output device for outputting a signal directly perceivable to an operator of a workpiece processing machine from his/her working position, an imaging device for generating at least one image of the interior of a workpiece processing machine, a device for monitoring a processing position of a workpiece, a work-piece processing machine, a use of a device for monitoring a processing position of a work-piece, a use of a workpiece processing machine and a method for processing a workpiece in a workpiece processing machine. These devices and method promote safe and efficient operation of a workpiece processing machine.
Abstract:
The device comprises a base (12), a mobile support (14), a contact member (16), a lever (34) which comprises a blocking arm (38) pivotally mounted around an axis (36). The device comprises retention means (40, 42) capable of opposing the pivoting of the lever. The device also comprises a reaction member (48A) fixed with respect to the base (12) and capable of cooperating with a reaction zone of the blocking arm (38) by defining a reaction surface inclined with respect to the translation direction X of the support on the base. The pivoting of the lever allowed by the release of the retention means allows the displacement of the contact member.
Abstract:
In order to improve a workpiece stop device for a machine tool, in particular, a sheet metal working machine, comprising a support frame, an adjustment carriage displaceable on the support frame in a stop direction and a stop element movable by the adjustment carriage, such that this is, from a constructional point of view, of as simple a design as possible and offers the possibility of making use of as large a stop area as possible it is suggested that the stop element have a stop arm which is provided with at least two stop surfaces arranged at a distance from one another in a stop direction, and that the stop element can be brought into a first position, in which a first stop surface arranged closest to the machine tool is in the active position, and can be brought into a second active position, in which a second stop surface is in the active position while the stop surfaces located on the machine tool side thereof are in the inactive position.
Abstract:
A simple, rugged, and conveniently front-adjustable gage stop having a gage finger capable of presenting a gage face in any of several angular orientations is disclosed. The gage stop comprises a gage finger adjustably and rotatably connected to a finger support which is in turn pivotally connected to a mounting member. In operation, a workpiece is butted against the gage face with the gage stop resting in a horizontal orientation, and some operation is performed on the workpiece. If this operation results in an upward force being applied to the gage stop, the stop swings upward in response, to a limiting position in which the center of gravity of the finger support/gage finger combination is forward of the pivot axis, and then returns by gravity to a horizontal position.
Abstract:
A gauge bar assembly is provided with T-nut, quick-action hand clamp brackets to linear bearing blocks of a gauge drive mechanism. Gauge mounting brackets are supported and guided on upstanding tubes in the quick-action clamp brackets. Powered vertical drive for the mounting brackets is provided. A gauge bar having unusually high resistance to bending, due to a unique Y-shaped cross section, is clamped to the gauge mounting brackets. Flip fingers with manually adjustable adjustment wedges, and spring take-up means, are provided for precise horizontal adjustment of gauging fingers toward and away from press brake tooling.
Abstract:
A work feed method and apparatus for feeding workpieces to and from the die of a press comprises a feed rack having a workpiece clamping device thereon is disposed within the press gap and reciprocates horizontally between positions where it picks up pieces from a supply stage at the die and transfers them simultaneously to the die and discharge stages. The feed bar is operated by a drive unit driven by an electric motor and having a rocking arm mechanism connected to the feed bar to reciprocate the latter horizontally and a slide mechanism at each end of the feed bar to reciprocate the feed bar vertically which is operated by a camming mechanism through a ball crank device which is operated by a lift rod driven through a camming mechanism by the drive motor.
Abstract:
A long-sized wire transfer apparatus for use with a wire cutting machine or the like including a wire feed mechanism and a cutter blade assembly which opens and closes to cut into predetermined lengths a wire intermittently fed in by the wire feed mechanism. The wire transfer apparatus comprises a wire clamping transfer conveyor laterally extending from the downstream side of the cutter blade assembly in a direction at the right angles to the wire withdrawing line, a wire drift conveyor composed of an endless belt extending laterally from the initial end of the transfer conveyor through a slide plate of suitable length along the wire withdrawing line, and a wire collecting device or the like disposed immediately below the terminal end of the wire clamping transfer conveyor.
Abstract:
Method of controlling with heightened accuracy a processing machine drivent different operating speeds and having a machine part moving through a predetermined full range, the processing machine, at an initial setting of the moving machine part, within a given tolerance range, repeatedly permitting start-up of a processing cycle that has been instituted in advance through a precontrolled time period dependent upon the operating speed and which includes a control commencement build-up time period and a full range displacement time period, which includes interposing a blocking time period between the control commencement build-up time period and the full range displacement time period, the blocking time period always ending at the same position in the displacement range of the moving machine part, blocking the full range displacement by the moving machine part until the end of the blocking time period, and advancing the start of the control commencement build-up time period in accordance with the blocking time period; apparatus for performing the foregoing method; a processing machine in the form of a slide drawing machine per se; and auxiliary devices for the slide drawing machine.
Abstract:
A conveyor device is provided for conveying bars longitudinally to a machine which processes the bars. A drive of a conveyor member which moves in the longitudinal direction can be switched off after predetermined section lengths have been attained and can be switched on again after processing has been carried out. The switching off and the switching on is controllable by means of impulses which are released by impulse generators when a preselectable section length is obtained by means of a section length selector switch or after processing has been carried out. The successive section length is pre-selected while the previous section length is being processed. The section length selector switches form together a sequence programme and the section length selector switches corresponding to the section lengths can be switched in to a programme storage circuit with a number of stores for forming the conveying programme. The circuit switches itself forward by one store at each switch-in step and is in turn able to be switched over to a control switch of a drive of the conveyor member in order for the conveying operation to be carried out, in which switch position it switches itself forward by one store after each section conveying and processing operation.
Abstract:
A material cutting device having a backgauge which may be manually positioned by means of a hand wheel accessible to the operator also includes a position indicating tape upon which visible indicia representing the backgauge position are printed or engraved. The visible indicia may be referred against an index mark located adjacent a circular scale mounted to rotate with the hand wheel. The close proximity of the circular scale, the index mark, and the visible indicia on the control tape facilitates the positioning of the backgauge by the operator.
