摘要: An air gap retractor illumination system includes any suitable retractor such as a McCulloch with a channel in the blade to accommodate an air gap illuminator. The illuminator is preferably made from a suitable light conducting plastic material such as acrylic or polycarbonate or silicone. The illuminator has active portions in which light passes and inactive or dead zones in which light does not pass as a result of the configuration and orientation of the input, output and surfaces of the illuminator. The illuminator is formed to have an air gap surrounding any active portion of the illuminator extending from the light input to the light output portion. The dead zones may include elements to allow the illuminator to securely engage the retractor. The light output portion of the illuminator contains from two to eight output zones, each zone having specially designed output optical structures that control and direct light to escape the illuminator to shine onto a predetermined area of interest or to form one or more predetermined shapes or footprints.

摘要: A vacuum suction acne remover includes a main control module, a vacuum suction module including a suction head and a vacuum pump connected to the suction head and controllable by the main control module to generate a suction force at the suction head for sucking out acne from the skin, and a camera module having an imaging lens controllable by the main control module to capture the image of the area being sucked by the vacuum suction module. During the suction process of the vacuum suction module, the camera module can observe the image of the suction area, and the suction of the vacuum suction module can be adjusted according to the depth of the acne displayed on the screen to avoid blind acne removing action and incomplete cleaning and to prevent the skin from being damaged due to excessive suction, thereby improving the efficiency and cleanliness of acne removal.

摘要: The subject invention relates to cleaning products that are highly effective in cleaning articles that are susceptible to scratching, scuffing and/or abrasion. More specifically, the present invention relates to cleaning products that are made with a non-abrasive fabric that is comprised of a multitude of non-woven polyester fibers which are bound together with an ethylene-vinyl chloride copolymer binder into the form of a sheet. These cleaning products are highly effective at removing foreign matter from a substrate surface without scratching or scuffing the surface of the substrate. These cleaning products can be used to clean inanimate articles and in cleaning open lesions on humans and animals.

摘要: Porous devices are provided that include a particle-containing fibrous porous matrix and a fluid absorbed in the particle-containing porous fibrous nonwoven matrix. The particle-containing fibrous porous matrix includes a porous fibrous nonwoven matrix containing first polyolefin fibers, second polyolefin fibers including poly(ethylene), and fiberglass fibers; and microorganism-binding particles. The microorganism-binding particles are enmeshed in said porous fibrous nonwoven matrix. Methods of debridement are provided including providing a porous device including a particle-containing fibrous porous matrix and wiping a wound or an area of skin with the device; and providing a porous device including a porous fibrous nonwoven matrix and wiping a wound with the device. Further, kits are provided including a sterile package containing at least one porous device, and typically also instructions for debridement.

摘要: A disposable brush head cartridge for a sonic or ultrasonic skin cleaning brush, specially adapted for use in surgical skin prep. The disposable brush head cartridge has a base configured to be removably attached to a sonic motor drive handle. The disposable brush head cartridge further comprises an upper bristle head sealed with respect to the base by a surrounding disposable cover spaced from the bristles. The cover defines a reservoir of pre-surgical skin cleaning fluid, in a first form soaking or pre-moistening the brush bristles until the cover is removed, and in a second form stored in a separate fluid-tight compartment in the cover and combined with the brush bristles after the cover is removed.
