Abstract: A method of defining an end travel limit of an electric actuator includes sensing an electric current of the electric actuator while moving the electric actuator from a first position to a second position. A maximum travel current of the electric current sensed during movement of the electric actuator between the first position to the second position is increased by a factor to define a maximum calibration current. The electric current is then sensed while moving from the second position toward an end travel position of the electric actuator. Movement of the electric actuator is stopped at a fault position when the electric current equals the maximum calibration current. The end travel limit of the electric actuator is then defined as a function of the fault position.

Abstract: An agricultural vehicle header having a frame, at least one support arm extending, a cutter assembly attached to the distal ends of the support arms, a draper belt with an upper belt portion located above the support arms, and a parallel linkage connected to each support arm to operatively connect the cutter assembly to the frame. The linkage includes upper and lower links. The upper belt portion extends along a cross-belt direction that is perpendicular to a travel direction of the upper belt portion, and the proximal pivots of the upper and lower links are positioned on a line that is oriented at an angle of 60 to 120 degrees relative to the cross-belt direction when the header is in a freestanding static state.

Abstract: The expanding coupler for a mower and lawn vacuum may pull a suction hose adjacent to a deck adapter outlet. A plurality of hose springs may allow the suction hose to separate from the deck adapter outlet when the suction hose is pulled. The shroud may direct clippings from the deck adapter outlet to the suction hose when the suction hose is separated from the deck adapter outlet. As a non-limiting example, the suction hose may couple a deck adapter of a lawn vacuum to a suction hose adapter of the lawn vacuum. The suction hose may be pulled when the riding lawn mower makes a turn in a direction that is opposite the side that the suction hose is on. Fasteners may prevent the suction hose from separating from the hose adapter.

Abstract: A reel includes a plurality of bats and an end shield plate mounted on the end of the reel at the crop divider which has a peripheral edge radially inward of an outer tip of the fingers with an apex at each of the bats and portions which are recessed from a straight line joining the apexes. Each of the endmost fingers of the bats has a base which is axially inside the end plate and is bent longitudinally of the reel to define an outer tip which is axially spaced from the base to a position beyond the radial plane of the end plate. A plurality of molded paddle blades are mounted to project outwardly from the end surface to clear crop away from the space between the outer face of the end plate and the divider.

Abstract: A mobile platform biomass harvester has a header, a biomass processor, a storage container, a guidance system, an engine, an electric generator, and a guidance system. The header harvests biomass. The biomass processor includes a shredder, a press, a dryer, and a densifier. The densifier compacts the biomass into a multitude of compressed biomass pieces. The storage container receives compressed biomass pieces from the biomass processor. The guidance system guides the mobile platform at a speed determined by the operating capacity of the mobile platform. The engine generates shaft power. The electrical generator converts the shaft power to electricity to power the guidance system.
