Abstract:
A durable gear strap couples components in an imaging device to a driving force. The gear strap includes a strip having a plurality of rigid sections and a plurality of flexible sections. Gear teeth on the strip enable rotation of a gear to move the gear strap in a track. At least one engagement member extends from one of the rigid sections to couple a component to the gear strap for movement.
Abstract:
A baby stroller for transporting a child is disclosed. This baby stroller has a folding mechanism to facilitate folding for easier stowing and transporting. The folding mechanism, a unique feature of the design is directed toward compactness, ease of use, reliability, and reduction in manufacturing costs.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a main assembly; a rotatable unit; a first gear, provided in one of the rotatable unit and the main assembly, including a gear portion at an arcuate portion having a center substantially aligned with a rotation center of the rotatable unit; a second gear, provided rotatably in another one of the rotatable unit and the main assembly, engageable with the first gear in a first rotation region of the rotatable unit; a third gear provided at a position different from a position of the second gear with respect to a circumferential direction of the arcuate portion, wherein the third gear is engageable with the first gear when the rotatable unit is rotated in a second rotation region thereof; and a damper mechanism for imparting rotational resistance to the second and third gears when each of the second and third gears is rotated.
Abstract:
A pneumatic transport system including an up receive/down send customer terminal having a pivot assembly for vertically and pivotally displacing a pneumatic carrier between a vertical position and an angularly disposed presentation position. The customer terminal includes a movable carrier cradle assembly to absorb relatively small impact forces from a vehicle mirror or other moving object. The carrier cradle assembly also includes a break away feature for limiting damage to the customer terminal from greater impact forces. A blower in the customer terminal is operative in pressure and vacuum modes to supply pressure differentials to selectively move the carrier. An up receive/down send operator terminal includes a rotatable door for opening and closing a carrier access opening. A component panel assembly is movable to allow access to terminal components of the operator terminal.
Abstract:
A rotary drive for a belt tensioner includes a housing, a pinion rotatably mounted therein, and at least one driving gear coupled to the pinion, the driving gear being mounted in the housing and being adapted to be driven by pressurized gas introduced into a pressure chamber. Formed in the driving gear is a cavity having a substantially radially extending wall which, in the installed state, is opposite to a protrusion which projects into the cavity and is rigidly connected to the housing, the wall of the cavity and the protrusion forming part of a wall of the pressure chamber.
Abstract:
An electronic equipment for vehicle use which can be properly protected from theft is provided. When an eject key is pressed down, a process controller operates a panel drive part to rotate an operation panel into the horizontal position (step S12). When the process controller determines that no CD is housed (step S13), it determines whether the removal of the operation panel has been detected (step S16). When the removal of the operation panel has been detected, the process controller rotates panel holder into the front-face position (step S17). When the process controller determines at step S13 that any CD has been housed, it ejects the housed CD and starts a timekeeping operation (step S18). When the process controller determines that a predetermined time has elapsed (step S21), it rotates the panel holder into the back-face position (step S22).
Abstract:
A mechanism for driving a plurality of door plates of an air conditioning system for an automobile. An actuator generates a rotating force and has an output shaft. A main gear plate is secured to the output shaft of the actuator for being integrally rotated therewith. The main gear plate has a plurality of first toothed portions and a plurality of non-meshed rotation guide arms. The first toothed portions are formed on a circumferential outer surface of the main gear plate such that they are circumferentially spaced apart one from another. The non-meshed rotation guide arms are formed on a one surface of the main gear plate such that they are circumferentially spaced apart one from another and extend radially. A plurality of driving levers are fixed to the plurality of door plates, respectively.
Abstract:
A drive for a tracked door which utilises a drive pinion which engages a tracked rack that in turn moves the door as it is moved track-wise under the action of the pinion. A flexible rack able to travel on a curved locus is preferred.
Abstract:
A spring assembly comprising an inner ring spring and an outer ring spring suitable for use in a safety device for an automobile power window is provided. The inner ring spring is formed by substantially circularly bending a strip spring so that both ends thereof are away from each other and the outer ring spring is formed by substantially circularly bending a strip spring so that both ends thereof are away from each other, the outer ring spring being fitted with the inner ring spring. Stoppers are provided in the vicinity of one ends of the inner and outer ring springs respectively. Each stopper is engaged with the other end of other ring spring, thereby holding one end side of each ring spring in such a condition that one end side of each ring spring is resiliently abutted against one end side of other ring spring.
