摘要： A connecting and anchoring device. A cable element terminates at opposite ends in respective gate and spine cable termination structures. A gate housing houses a gating portion of the cable element and includes a locking element. The device has a first configuration in which the termination structures are locked together and a second configuration in which the termination structures can be separated from one another by manipulating the locking element. The device in at least the first configuration defines a closed aperture. A spine housing houses a spinal portion of the cable element. The spine housing is attached to the base and the gate housing is pivotally connected to the base so that the gate housing can pivot relative to the spine housing so as to change the configuration of the connecting and anchoring device between the second configuration and a third configuration in which the aperture is open. The cable element includes a cable that extends uninterrupted from the spine housing, through the base, and into the gate housing.

Medical wire is placed between the first side compression member and the second side compression member then the clamp is compressed against the medical wire.

The gate has a first end coupled proximate the connection portion of the body and a second end configured and arranged to engage the nose portion of the body to selectively close the opening. The gate has a closed position when positioned across the opening and an open position when the opening is at least partially unobstructed by the gate.

The transoral obesity treatment devices and related methods are intended to assist a patient in maintaining a healthy body weight. Features of the devices include insertion transorally and without invasive surgery, without associated patient risks of invasive surgery, and without substantial patient discomfort. The life span of these devices may be material-dependent upon long-term survivability within an acidic stomach, but is intended to last one year or longer. The devices have the capacity to vary in size and are desirably self-actuating in that they change shape and/or volume using internal motors or actuators. The changing character of the devices helps prevent the person's stomach from compensating for the implant, such as sometimes happens with static intragastric devices.

摘要： Intragastric implant devices for obesity treatment are disclosed. The device is passive and does not autonomously change shape, but instead reacts to movement of the stomach to induce satiety. The device includes a series of connected, articulated clips that plicate the stomach wall nondestructively (no puncturing through the gastric wall) such that the overall volume of the stomach is reduced. Cam-shaped clamping surfaces prevent slippage of the stomach tissue from within the clips. Methods of implant are disclosed including delivering the device through a transoral delivery tube and advancing the device through the esophagus to be deployed within the stomach. Removal of the device occurs in the reverse.

摘要： A holder for holding collapsed coiled tubing has been invented which, in one aspect, has a first plate, a second plate, securement apparatus for releasably securing the plates together in a spaced-apart relationship about at least one portion of a collapsed tubular, e.g. but not limited to coiled tubing, and at least one gripper or gripping element on one plate for gripping the collapsed tubular between the first plate and second plate. In one aspect such a holder has gripping elements which include a first die device on the first plate and a second die device on the second plate, the first die device disposed opposite the second die device when the holder is installed around a collapsed tubular. In one aspect dies are longitudinally offset with respect to upper and/or lower dies so that gripping is achieved across a wider portion or substantially all of the width of a collapsed tubular. In one aspect such a holder is an elevator with an elevator hook on each plate so the holder serves as an elevator. A gripping element has been invented for gripping a tubular or collapsed coiled tubing having a non-round shape, the gripping element having a surface with a shape corresponding to a shape of a portion of the non-round tubular or collapsed coiled tubing.
