    摘要: A method of increasing the activity and selectivity of a regenerated used FCC catalytic composite comprising a zeolitic crystalline aluminosilicate dispersed in a porous inorganic oxide matrix, the resultant composite and a cracking process utilizing the resultant composite. Particles of zeolitic crystalline aluminosilicate having diameters less than the diameters of the pores of the composite are impregnated into the composite, preferably by contacting the composite with an aqueous slurry of the particles and then evaporating off the water of the slurry.

    摘要: Ammonia exchanged large port mordenite, which is subsequently mildly acid leached, and calcined, in which at least 95% of the exchangeable sodium has been removed and having from 0.38 to 0.8 milliequivalents of acid sites at least as strong as 48% sulfuric acid per gram (as measured by titration with butylamine, and employing dicinnamalacetone indicator) has been found to be a highly active hydrocarbon isomerization catalyst. Incorporation of noble metal, e.g. palladium, on the catalyst improves the selectivity for isomerization of normal pentane to isopentane for highly active catalysts at high conversion rates.

    摘要: When supported silver materials are being prepared, deposits of from about 4.0 .times. 10.sup.-.sup.5 to about 8.0 .times. 10.sup.-.sup.3 gram equivalent weights per kilogram of finished product of ionic, higher alkali metals, i.e., ionic potassium, rubidium or cesium simultaneously with the deposit of silver improves the selectivity of these materials as catalysts for ethylene oxide production. Superior results are obtained with rubidium or cesium.

    摘要: A method for suppressing isomerization of an olefin metathesis product produced in a metathesis reaction includes adding an isomerization suppression agent to a mixture that includes the olefin metathesis product and residual metathesis catalyst from the metathesis reaction under conditions that are sufficient to passivate at least a portion of the residual metathesis catalyst. The isomerization suppression agent includes (i) a salt and/or an ester of a phosphorous oxo acid, and/or (ii) a derivative of the phosphorous oxo acid in which at least one P—H bond has been replaced by a P—C bond, and/or (iii) a salt and/or an ester of the derivative. Methods of refining natural oils are described.
