Abstract:
A freshening composition and method of jetting a freshening composition from a microfluidic device are provided. The composition includes greater than 5 wt. % of solubilizing materials that are liquid at 20° C. Each of the solubilizing materials have a Hansen polarity parameter (δp) of greater than 5 MPa0.5; a Hansen hydrogen-bonding parameter (δh) of greater than 9 MPa0.5; and a vapor pressure of less than 267 Pa. The method includes heating the freshening composition with a thermal actuator and atomizing the heated composition from a nozzle in a direction that is from 0 degrees to 90 degrees from the direction of gravitational force.
Abstract:
A roll-fed label web for a resealable label includes a label ply and a material that permits non-destructive manipulation of the label ply. An individual resealable label is produced when the web is cut by a label application machine. The label further includes an active portion.
Abstract:
A multi-layer article is provided containing a sorbent layer having a first side and a second side; a vapor permeable or microporous layer adjacent to at least a portion of at least one of the first side and second side of the sorbent layer; optionally, a second vapor permeable or microporous layer on a side of the vapor permeable or microporous layer not adjacent to the sorbent layer; optionally, a vapor impermeable layer adjacent to a portion of the sorbent layer not adjacent to the vapor permeable or microporous layer; and an active composition having at least one volatile component; wherein the sorbent layer contains the active composition, and each layer is capable of being formed into a required shape or structure; and a method for its use in treating the atmosphere of an environment such as a compartment or localized space.

Abstract:
A method of placing a logo on an article or substrate by placing a contrast sheet behind the logo and a blocking sheet therebetween to prevent a shadow effect. The contrast sheet and blocking sheet may be hidden within the hem of an article.
Abstract:
A polymeric composition comprising a copolymer of ethylene with at least another monomer comprising at least a heteroatom, a tackifier, less than 10% of a compatible plasticizer or blend of plasticizers and a volatile material. The compositions are able to deliver effectively the volatile material incorporated for a long time and also have good adhesion properties on most substrates.
Abstract:
Disclosed are dispensers for volatile materials. There is a container in the form of a well having an internal cavity, a volatile chemical positioned in the cavity, and a multi-layer covering enclosing the cavity. The covering has a lower section that is gas permeable, and an upper section removably bound to the lower section that is not. Embodiments include when (a) the lower section has a top layer that is a blend of high density polyethylene and low density polyethylene; the upper section has a bottom layer that has a mixture of polypropylene and a propylene/ethylene copolymer; and/or the lower section has an upper layer that has low density polyethylene but the lower section does not contain ultra low density polyethylene. These features help prevent premature leakage at the bond between the upper section and lower section.
Abstract:
This dry cleaning method for a plasma processing apparatus is a dry cleaning method for a plasma processing apparatus that includes: a vacuum container provided with a dielectric member; a planar electrode and a high-frequency antenna that are provided outside the dielectric member; and a high-frequency power source that supplies high-frequency power to both the high-frequency antenna and the planar electrode, to thereby introduce high-frequency power into the vacuum container via the dielectric member and produce an inductively-coupled plasma, the method comprising the steps of: introducing a gas including fluorine into the vacuum container and also introducing high-frequency power into the vacuum container from the high-frequency power source, to thereby produce an inductively-coupled plasma in the gas including fluorine; and by use of the inductively-coupled plasma, removing a product including at least one of a precious metal and a ferroelectric that is adhered to the dielectric member.
Abstract:
A display frame with a refill holder comprises a transparent block with front and rear faces. A U-shaped mounting member is attached to the rear face about an outer periphery of same. The U-shaped mounting member has an inwardly extending wall. A channel is formed in a space between the rear face and the inwardly extending wall. A protrusion is attached to the rear face of the frame, wherein the protrusion in combination with the inwardly extending wall are configured to distance the rear face from a support surface when the frame is in a substantially horizontal position and provide a substantially unimpeded air passage adjacent the rear face.
Abstract:
A container having a scented label attached using an in-mold label process and methods of making the same. A scented material is supplied to the label, and the label is attached to the container using an in-mold label process. In another embodiment, a container comprises an interior cavity for retaining a substance, and a label adapted to dispense a scent, wherein the label is disposed on an exterior surface of the container using an in-mold label process. The scent may be suggestive of the content of the container.
