Abstract:
A solid waste treatment method includes the steps of: degradation and sterilization via chlorination of the solid waste, stabilization of the solid waste and regeneration of biomass to reduce or eliminate solid waste. The solid waste treatment method may be utilized in agricultural, industrial or municipal settings.
Abstract:
A soil additive comprising a sugar ferment wherein said ferment contains signalling molecules comprising between about 1-50% of the organic matter present in the ferment.
Abstract:
Wheat bran culture mix is used to inoculate organic waste and produce an inoculated waste material, where the wheat bran culture mix includes soil derived microbes. The inoculated waste material is shredded to produce shredded inoculated waste material which is fermented the shredded inoculated waste material for at least 7 days. Contents from the fermenter are then transferred into a dewatering device to produce dewatered contents which are then separated into soluble and suspended products.
Abstract:
An organic fertilization method is provided using a pH adjusted betaine based organic fertilizer product. The pH adjusted betaine based organic fertilizer product is created by combining betaine and pH adjusting material and optionally heating, optionally filtering, and optionally cooling the combination of betaine and pH adjusting material. The pH adjusted betaine based organic fertilizer product is applied to agricultural vegetation in one of multiple forms and by one of multiple methods.
Abstract:
An organic fertilization method is provided using betaine based organic fertilizer product and/or betaine and fish fertilizer by-product based fertilizer product. The betaine based organic fertilizer product and/or betaine and fish fertilizer by-product based fertilizer product is applied to agricultural vegetation in one of multiple forms and by one of multiple methods.
Abstract:
A device and method that removes moisture from human, animal, vegetable, and plant materials, yielding clear discharge water that can be returned to a sewage treatment plant. Some wastes can also yield fertilizer and an energy positive fuel source.
Abstract:
The invention provides for methods, devices, and systems for pyrolyzing biomass. A pyrolysis unit can be used for the pyrolysis of biomass to form gas, liquid, and solid products. The biomass materials can be selected such that an enhanced biochar is formed after pyrolysis. The biomass can be pyrolyzed under specified conditions such that a selected biochar core is formed. The pyrolysis process can form a stable biochar core that is inert and/or resistant to degradation. The biochar or biochar core can be functionalized to form a functionalized biochar or functionalized biochar core. Functionalization can include post-pyrolysis treatments such as supplementation with microbes or physical transformations including annealing and/or activation.
Abstract:
A soil additive comprising a sugar ferment wherein said ferment contains signalling molecules comprising between about 1-50% of the organic matter present in the ferment.
Abstract:
A combined Direct Coal Liquefaction (DCL)/Fischer Tropsch (F-T) process and system for producing high Cetane diesel fuel by converting at least 70% of the feed coal by DCL operating at 50 to 70% conversion and gasifying the bottoms and between 0 and 30% of the feed coal to produce H2 for supply to the DCL and to upgrading and syngas for being converted to diesel by F-T. Diesel blendstocks produced by the DCL and the F-T in a ratio of 3 to 1 to 14 to 1 are blended to produce diesel fuel having a Cetane Number of at least 51 and a specific gravity of 0.845 or less.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is the production of hydrocarbon based fuel from micro-organisms and algae that comprise algaenan without requiring prior removal of water, as well as the production of hydrocarbon based fuel directly from the algaenan itself. Also disclosed herein are feed material for the processes disclosed herein comprising modified algae and algaenan that selectively produce hydrocarbon of desired chain lengths, along with the process of modifying the algae and algaenan. Also disclosed herein is the production of both hydrocarbon and organic fertilizer from algae without the need to remove the water from the algae prior to processing.
