    摘要: Intelligent switching of audio sources includes determining, via a computer processor communicatively coupled to an audio system in a vehicle, alternative sources of content that are communicatively available to the vehicle. The audio system renders an instance of a content item that has been received from a content provider, as a source of content, over a network. Upon determining an interruption in a signal from the content provider with respect to the instance of the content item, the intelligent switching of audio sources also includes presenting an alternative content item, through the audio system, from one of the alternative sources of content.

    摘要: Disclosed is a technique for effectively transmitting a plurality of contents under the situation securing minimum QoS. According to the technique, among a plurality of contents to be transmitted to a data reception device, two or more contents are set as main contents, and the remaining contents are set as stand-by contents. One of the two or more main contents is set as a broadcasting content to be broadcasted actually, and the remaining main content is set as a switching content. The data transmission device transmits the two main contents to the data reception device via a high-quality line (main content line) and transmits the remaining stand-by contents via a line of a quality lower than the main content line (proxy data transmission line). Contents are switched by interchanging between a broadcasting content and a switching content and interchanging between a switching content and a stand-by content.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for performing dynamic time alignment of program content extracted from analog and digital radio signals of a simulcast is disclosed. A delay estimation unit of a radio receiver is configured to dynamically determine an amount of received delay between analog-transmitted and digital portions of a radio program. An internal delay to compensate for the received delay may be applied to a data stream corresponding to the portion that is leading. The radio receiver may initially provide audio output from the analog-transmitted portion. In the case of leading analog-transmitted audio, the audio from the analog-transmitted portion may be incrementally delayed to align with the digitally transmitted audio. Once data streams corresponding to the analog-transmitted and digitally transmitted portions are sufficiently aligned in time, a blend operation may be performed. The blend operation may transition the output from being sourced by the analog-transmitted portion to the digitally-transmitted portion.

The SDTV signal and the HDTV signal may comprise the same media content. The HDTV signal received via the DVB-H downlink communication path and the SDTV signal received via the cellular downlink communication path may be selected in the mobile terminal for processing. The selection may be based on a preference indicated via the mobile terminal. The selection may also be based on at least one downlink channel condition indicator corresponding to the HDTV signal or the SDTV signal.

    摘要: Providing content to a device. Content stored on a device can be examined or searched based on the programming of channels that are available to the device over various networks. The content can be searched using other rules related to user preferences or content characteristics. Based on the results of the examination of the content, playlists are generated. Each playlist includes content from the device that matches or partially matches the content associated with one of the channels. Using the playlists, a user can load content from their device that has a theme consistent with a particular channel. When signal loss is detected for a given channel, the playlist associated with that channel can be loaded and played by the device. The device can resume playing the channel when the signal is again adequately detected.

The arithmetic unit outputs the audio data of the assigned database entry based on a detected disturbance in the reception of the audio signal.
