摘要: The present disclosure relates to a content supply device, a content supply method, a program, and a content supply system, wherein an adaptive streaming technique based on DASH is extended to enable the use of broadcast distribution and multicast distribution.A content supply device according to a first aspect of the present disclosure is a content supply device that supplies streaming data of content in accordance with an adaptive streaming technique, the device including: an HTTP distribution unit that makes the streaming data into a file for each segment and distributes by HTTP the obtained segment file through a bidirectional communication network; a multicast distribution unit that distributes the segment file by multicast; and a meta file generation unit that generates a meta file in which information for receiving the segment file to be subjected to the HTTP distribution or the multicast distribution is described. The present disclosure is applicable to the system for streaming the content.

摘要: An incomplete/partly corrupted media file is delivered ‘in the clear’; in addition, a delta file is delivered to users meeting access control criteria which, when combined with the incomplete/partly corrupted parts allows a complete and uncorrupted version of the media file to be re-constructed. The method allows, in one implementation, a secure music purchase system to operate over digital radio: for example, the start of a song when played over the radio is usually deliberately talked over and the end cut short to prevent listeners being able to record a complete copy. With the present system, this practice can continue, but listeners can also purchase the missing or corrupted sections to enable them to possess a complete and uncorrupted version for playback.

摘要: A system and method are provided for reducing perceived distortion in an output audio signal derived from an amplitude modulated compatible digital broadcast signal having an analog portion and a digital portion. The digital portion of this signal is demodulated to produce a demodulated digital signal and the analog portion of the signal is demodulated to produce a demodulated analog signal. The noise in the demodulated digital signal is measured and an estimate of the signal-to-noise ratio is derived. This estimated signal-to-noise ratio is compared with a threshold level which is set at the minimum acceptable signal quality for the digital signal. Based upon the estimated signal-to-noise ratio, a switch directs either the analog derived audio output or the digitally derived audio output as the system output signal.

摘要: A service center has a plurality of controlled areas. When the service center provides service information through a radio communication network, the service center first broadcasts toward all the areas with outline items of the information with corresponding key codes attached thereto. Users each receive the outline items of the information with a user's terminal and determine as required whether a detail item of the information should be had immediately (an urgent one) or can be had later (a regular one). The results of the determination are reported to the service center, which immediately provides the urgent detail items of the information for the respective users who made requests for having those detail items. The service center broadcasts regular detail items of the information with attached corresponding key codes other than the requested urgent ones of the information toward the terminals which requested the regular detail items of the information at a predetermined time. Each terminal has stored a key code attached to the outline item of the information which the terminal requested in a regular manner, and receives only a necessary detail item of the information.
