Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for techniques for reducing feedback information in an extremely high throughput (EHT) wireless local area network (WLAN). A receiving device (beamformee), such as a station (STA), may receive a sounding signal from a transmitting device (beamformer), such as an access point (AP), and transmit channel feedback. The receiving device may transmit the channel feedback as part of a reduced compressed beamforming feedback (CBF) operation that includes determining a first set of channel characteristics. The receiving device may select a subset of the first set of channel characteristics and determine a set of differential characteristics based on the subset. The transmitting device may then transmit the sets of characteristics as reduced CBF to the transmitting device. The transmitting device may determine a channel estimation for beamformed signaling based on the reduced CBF.

In some implementations, a message can be received at a radio unit (RU) of a base station in a wireless communication system. The message can include channel state information reference signal (CSI RS) configuration information that the RU is configured to use in generating a CSI RS for transmission to a user equipment (UE). The CSI RS configuration information can include a plurality of parameters including a bandwidth for CSI RS transmission, amplitude scaling, and a scrambling identity (ID).

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to synchronization signal (SS) transmission coordination among base stations (BSs) and restricted SS measurements at user equipments (UEs) are provided. A first BS transmits a first SS burst in a first SS transmission period of a plurality of SS transmission periods. The first SS transmission period is designated to the first BS. A second SS transmission period of the plurality of SS transmission periods is designated to a second BS. The first SS transmission period and the second SS transmission period are different. The first BS receives, from a UE, a first signal in synchronization with the first SS burst. The first signal includes a SS measurement of the first SS burst.

Abstract: A repeater generates repetition signals by repeating an uplink signal over a plurality of subframes. If the plurality of subframes do not include a transmission candidate subframe of a sounding reference signal used to measure uplink reception quality, a controller sets a first transmission format to all the plurality of subframes, and if the plurality of subframes include the transmission candidate subframe, the controller sets a second transmission format to all the plurality of subframes. A transmitter transmits the repetition signals using the set transmission format.

Abstract: Techniques for enhanced wireless sensing or ranging are provided. First and second channel state information (CSI) data, for a first and second link of a plurality of links in a multi-link operation (MLO) system, is collected. A set of channel parameters is estimated, based on the second CSI data, using a channel propagation model. First predicted CSI data for the first link is generated based on the estimated set of channel parameters. The first CSI data is calibrated based on the first predicted CSI data, comprising determining at least one of an amplitude difference or a phase difference between the first CSI data and the first predicted CSI data. Aggregated CSI data is generated based on the calibrated first CSI data and the second CSI data, and at least one of wireless sensing or wireless ranging is performed based on the aggregated CSI data.

Abstract: A method and system for acquiring mmWave carrier in a wireless communication network is disclosed. In one embodiment, an MS acquires a low frequency carrier and then acquires the high frequency carrier. Since the low frequency carrier and the high frequency carrier are transmitted by same BS, the BS provides assistance information on the acquired low frequency carrier to the MS to acquire a synchronization signal which is transmitted on a high frequency carrier using beamforming. The assistance information includes synchronization signal beam time slots, synchronization signal beams which the MS needs to search, beam ID and so on. Based on the assistance information, the MS monitors the high frequency carrier to search and acquire the synchronization beam signal transmitted on the high frequency carrier. The MS determines the beam ID of the received synchronization beam signal and reports to the BS on the low frequency carrier.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a reference signal mapping method and a reference signal mapping device. An N-port reference signal pattern is acquired in accordance with a 4-port or 8-port reference signal pattern, and N is an integer greater than 16. The N-port reference signal pattern includes an 18-port, 20-port, 24-port, 28-port or 32-port reference signal pattern. In the case of mapping a reference signal, RE positions to which a CSI-RS is mapped are determined in accordance with the N-port reference signal pattern, and resource mapping is performed on the CSI-RS in accordance with the RE positions, so as to map more-than-16-port CSI-RS, thereby to transmit the more-than-16-port CSI-RS.

Abstract: A method for generating a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a mobile communication system is presented. The method includes grouping a number of subcarriers to form at least one channel quality indicator subband for generating a channel quality indicator, and generating a channel quality indicator in each channel quality indicator subband, wherein a size of each channel quality indicator subband is dependent on a system bandwidth value and is an integer multiple of a downlink frequency resource unit size, wherein the downlink frequency resource unit size is prescribed according to the system bandwidth value.
