    摘要: A method for providing a digital sensor signal (DS) from an ultrasonic sensor (16) for signal transmission to a signal receiver (28) is disclosed, in which a digital output signal (OS) from the ultrasonic sensor (16) is processed to form the digital sensor signal for signal transmission. Provision is made for the processing to comprise the following steps: (i) determining a signal change (SC) of successive values of the output signal (OS), (ii) scaling this signal change (SC) by means of a variable scaling factor (SF) which is specified by a scaling scheme known to the ultrasonic sensor (16) and the signal receiver (28), and (iii) outputting the scaled signal change (SC) as the digital sensor signal (DS). A corresponding apparatus (32) is disclosed for creating a digital sensor signal (DS) from an ultrasonic sensor (16) for signal transmission to a signal receiver (28), to a corresponding ultrasonic sensor device with an ultrasonic sensor (16) and such an apparatus (32), and to a corresponding ultrasonic sensor system (14).

    摘要: In a shared radio frequency (RF) band, regulations or standards can stipulate that a device using an RF channel must vacate the RF channel if another device having priority to the channel is detected. It takes time, however, to move channels and this added time reduces the effective speed of the communication. In some cases, a received signal from the other device may be received on the channel when the other device is not, in fact, operating on the channel. These received signals can lead the device to move channels, thereby slowing communications unnecessarily. Accordingly, disclosed herein are a system and method for checking the characteristics of a received signal's spectrum to determine if the source of the received signal is on-channel or off-channel. This determination may be used to minimize the device from taking unnecessary interference avoidance measures, such as dynamic frequency selection.

    摘要: Subject matter disclosed herein relates to arrangements and techniques that provide for determining a location and/or position of a portable electronic device in order to control features and/or modes of operation of the portable electronic device. A method comprises determining, via the portable electronic device, positional measurement values related to the portable electronic device, determining an absolute value of a difference between a first positional measurement value and a second positional measurement value, and determining an average of absolute values of multiple differences. The average is compared with a threshold. If the average exceeds the threshold, a first mode of operation of the portable electronic device is triggered, and if the average is below the threshold, a second mode of operation of the portable electronic device is triggered.

    摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improving a physical random access channel (PRACH) design, for example, to support larger cell radius for communications in a wireless network. In aspects, a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes receiving at least one configuration of a plurality of available narrowband physical random access channel (NPRACH) configurations or an indication of one of the plurality of NPRACH configurations. Each of the plurality of NPRACH configurations includes a different combination of at least two of a multi-level frequency hopping patter, cyclic prefix length, symbol group format, or tone spacing for NPRACH signals. The method also includes determining at least one resource within a plurality of available NPRACH resources according to the received configuration(s) or the received indication, and transmitting a NPRACH signal using the determined at least one resource.
